For a Good Laugh

quote:

Yes, Brees has proved his worth, but he’s not worth more than Manning and Brady, who each average about $18 million a season. Heck, Ben Roethlisberger, Rodgers and Eli Manning are better quarterbacks than Brees because they can play in any NFL system.

and yet Brees is the only player who played in a different system and didn't do to bad must I say.

Well Rodgers IS better than Brees, but Drew is better than Ben Ruthlessburger and even Elite Manning.

If starting a team right now I'd take Rodgers over Brees just based on age, but talent-wise right now...I'm not sure there is that much difference btw the 2.

You had to know that everyone would jump on that little nugget of wisdom.

Rogers is damn good, but Brees is better, IMHO

Good lawd. What a fricking dumbass this guy is.

Drew Brees not only played in another system, but excelled in it by going to the Pro Bowl with San Diego. The other guys have all been in just one system.

You could even argue Rodgers is a product of a system, just ask Matt Flynn after his 480 yd, 6 TD, 70.5% game earned him a 3 yr/$26 million contract.

Every QB has a system. What worked for Chad Pennington won't work for Stafford and vice versa.

He's saying that Brees has excelled in two different systems. Where as, looking at other teams, more than one QB has played well in the system.

I'd like to see a system Brees couldn't run.

FWIW, Big Ben is learning a new offense this year. We'll see how he does.
