The D is still dead last in the NFL. 28th in pts per game. There is no denying that. Tough to do it all by himself. Not saying the D didn't show up tonight, because obviously it did. But it's just what Brees has become accustomed to this year.

I agree with you the pressure must be unreal.

But he really doesn't have to score every possession. He shouldn't feel that way. That's too much pressure on himself.

He only needs about a score a quarter. He should be able to do that if he just lets the O take what the D gives him.

He'll be fine.

Agreed. Instead he averages a INT per quater!

You mad too ... I'm just speaking sensible, instead of some of the dumb shite I am reading on this board. Brees had a bad fricking game, so what, it happens, move on. If not for Brees, the Saints wouldn't be where they are now. Be thankful you have a QB worth a frick. You could be stuck with Tony Romo, or Carson Palmer.

The D calmed down after their early struggles. They really did play hard, I'm proud of their effort

we just made a lot of mistakes.

Strief has struggled a lot anyway in protection this year. They shut down our run compared to the last time, Brees had to carry the load.

I didn't say anything about Brees. He had a bad game, I'm not worried about it. This team was never going anywhere this year, nothing to move on from

Give the guy a break.
frick that shite! No one's going to get on his arse for a few bad throws, games or whatever, but for two weeks in a row now he has played a MAJOR role in the Saints losing.

His 4th quarter play is appalling. So frick that give him a break bullshite; if he's going to insist on being paid like the biggest swinging dick in the league, he needs to step up.

some of it is on him, no doubt.

but don't be lazy and overlook the blocking up front like 90% of the rantards on here.

The difference in the defense we saw yesterday and the defense we saw at the beginning of the season is astronomical. The numbers are going to still look like shite because the D was so, so bad to start off, but it has improved dramatically over the course of a few games. 5 interceptions and only 23 points from the Falcons.. Damn good defense. Easily would have been 35 points with the way the D was before, not to mention how many TDs they would have scored otherwise.

Not last night, Atlanta was 1/11 on third down, the D made plenty of stops

The D held their own the past two weeks.

The D has played very well. Drew tried to do too much last night. They miss the play-calling of CSP. After what Goodell did to them there was no room for error this year. The Boys will be back.
