Might have cost us the game in retrospect. Brees is my favorite player, but his decision to pass to Bush, who of course dropped it, when he had an open scramble for the needed 2 yards cost us a touchdown. Settling for FGs inside 10 yards THREE times is an epic fail.

True he would have at least got the first.

As bad as Bush sucks, he can catch a short pass. He led the league in receptions his rookie year. Brees made the right decision.

He's had plenty of drops though, and i don't think he was expecting that. Running would have been the sure thing.

Agreed. I really like Reggie but he had an awful year and was bad in REALLY crucial spots.

Definitely a valid point, but I don't mind Brees making that throw instead because it protects his health. He is the franchise itself.

ETA: no doubt Bush's drop cost us the game though, what a fricking terrible excuse for a $54 million football player.

Reggie couldn't have been playing full to start this game - he looked to be hurting on the sidelines.
We got to a point where we gave the ball to a RB for a 2 point attempt that wasn't even on the team a week ago.
We need a pounding RB - a few of them actually. It hoguht we had that in Hamilton - maybe next year.
We have need a pounder for years now.

5 rushes for 12 yards with a 4 yard long. 2.4 YPC. 5 receptions for 37 yards. No TDs.

Blame the defense. Offense scored 36 points. Don't blame Drew Brees or Reggie Bush.

What you say is partially true.
Reggie was the EPIC fail, not Drew.

Reggie can pack his empty heisman trophy case and head to Seattle.

What game were you watching? Harper gave up 3 fukin touchdowns and that bitch Jones fumbled again. The drop was terrible, but to say it cost us the game is stretching it a bit. Why don't you just say you think Reggie sucks than start a thread that tries to blame the loss on him. shite. He only touched the ball like 10 times before Mr Glass had to run to the locker room.

Nobody can blame Bush for losing the game. As usual he had zero impact!

There is a lot of blame that can go around to a lot of people, but you expect someone you are paying $9 million/yr to actually show up in a huge playoff game when you need him the most.

If the Saints pay Bush 11 million next year, that will be a move so BAD that it sets the franchise back for at least a season.

Loomis needs to make some smart personnel moves because the Saints need some personnel upgrades in all three phases of the game.
