For a guy who didn't really start until his senior season (34 rushes as a sophomore, 70 as a junior, and 183 as a senior), getting 31 catches over 2 years shows ability in the passing game.
And clearly they've never watched any clips of him in the passing game if they are acting as if he isn't a receiving back. He wasn't asked to do it a lot because that wasn't a big part of the offense. He can most definitely catch and make people miss.
