I'll be heading to Boston this weekend for Yankees-Red Sox on Saturday and Saints-Patriots on Sunday!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

- Where would be a good place to watch the LSU-Miss St. game on Saturday with like-minded Tigers and Saints fans? Preferably somewhere near Fenway Park because the Red Sox game starts right after the LSU game.

- I've never been to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. Arriving early is a given, but what is the best means of transportation from Boston?

- Any pre-gaming spots near the stadium?

TIA

I joined a Lsu fans in boston Facebook page and it said they watch the LSU games at a bar called Causeway Boston. Not super close to Fenway but in Boston.

I will also be in Boston this weekend but I am not going to the game.

We are also making the trip. Going to see the Sox and Yankees Friday night, and then the Saints on Sunday.

Best way to get to Gillette from Boston is to take the train. Buy a roundtrip ticket ($20 per) and get on at South Station and get off at Foxboro. You can download the MBTA app and pre-buy your tickets

There is a train that runs from downtown to Foxborough. Not sure yet if we are taking that or uber. If I remember correctly you do have to purchase the tickets in advance.

look up "Patriot Place". There are 3 or 4 bars and they seem to open up at 10am for 1pm Pats home games. We will be somewhere in that area if we don't make friends with any tailgaters.

I’ll be in that number as well. Both games. Nosebleeds for Saints. Grandstand for Sox.

Has the train been operational, this year?

I know they stopped service with COVID last year.

This is my first trip to Boston. I was told about the LSU Boston Alumni group by a friend and found their group/event on Facebook. So I have no idea if they watch Saints games there or not.

Well it looks like the Causeway Boston is too far from Fenway to make it work unfortunately. The LSU game is at noon EST, and the Sox game is 4:10 EST. College football games last almost 4 hours. We'll have to watch at a sports bar near Fenway.

As some have said, Causeway is the new spot. Used to be the Baseball Tavern right next to Fenway but sadly that place closed down last year.

Plenty of places in Foxboro to hang out at in Patriot Place.

I live in Boston and will also be at the game so happy to help answer any other questions.

There’s a Facebook group, New Orleans Saints fans in Boston, this year they are meeting up to watch games at the Union Street Restaurant in Newton, met up with this group a couple years ago to watch a game while up there and had a great time

You’ll probably be able to find the LSU game on at several of the bars around Fenway if you go early and request it. Cask n flagon, bleacher bar, landsdowne pub are all right there. Game on is right outside as well and seemed to be a Notre Dame themed bar/restaurant, but I believe ND is playing at noon as well.
