Hate to rain on the Jones parade but I saw this earlier.

quote:

The New York Daily News says Jets fans "should familiarize" themselves with Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones.

The nugget comes from beat writer Manish Mehta, the most plugged-in reporter on the beat. The Jets are absolutely desperate for a true edge rusher at outside linebacker and now hold both the No. 9 and 13 picks in the first round. Oregon's Dion Jordan and BYU's Ziggy Ansah will likely be gone, leaving Jones as a strong option. Perhaps the most feared pass rusher in the SEC, Jones recorded 14.5 sacks as a junior last season.

Since I remember all the Mingo - Jets talk earlier, I think we can assume Mingo or Jones to the Jets at either 9 or 13 (unless they get a great deal to trade down.

Don't see why you have Miami taking the TE at 12 out of Notre Dame if they just signed Dustin Keller to be the starter?

I, like many, prolly see the Saints getting a default choice in whoever the Jets don't take.

Get very excited if the Jets go WR and/or QB.

I'd like the saints to keep an eye out for Michael Buchanan too late in 5th and 6th rounds.

Watching the film, there is no player I want more than TM7. He's going to be a star.

How about trades before #15?

I'm guessing a minimum of 6 spots are exchanged before the Saints pick. #6 to #10 could all move around

Won't be on the board for long in the second round, we'd need to trade up into it to get him, I hope we do.

I don't see Miami going with a TE that high especially since they signed Dustin Keller in free agency.

And 8 is too high for Nassib when they can trade up and get him late 1st early 2nd.

3/15/2013: Signed a one-year, $4.25 million contract. The deal contains $2.25 million guaranteed, including a $1 million signing bonus. 2013: $3.25 million, 2014: Free Agent

Oakland might trade down to the Cardinals, Lions, Dolphins, or Chargers. Of course, the depends on whether the Jags go with Jordan instead of the remainder of Fisher/Joeckel.

I could also conceivably see Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, and the Jets trading down within the top 10.

After 10, I can see the Jets again and the Panthers as the most likely to trade in the 10-15 range.

Still don't see them going TE in the first round that high when they can wait and get a good TE in the second or third. When was the last TE taken in the first round really worked out ?
