comments on other possibilities and trades

1 KC Joeckel
Fisher the only other alternative
2 JAX Dion Jordan
Fisher, Geno Smith other possibilities
3 OAK Shariff Floyd
Pretty solid here, him or Star
4 PHIL Eric Fisher
Lotulelei also an option, don't think Geno Smith is Kelly's guy
5 DET Ansah
tough choice, just as easy Lane Johnson or Milliner
6 CLEV Milliner
Browns might be more likely to trade down than take a pick, secondary- Lotulelei or Mingo
7 ARZ Lane Johnson
the floor for Johnson, if not available, trading down highly likely, secondary- Warmack
8 BUFF Nassib
possibly Geno Smith, but high probability of trading down to try and get one later
9 JETS Mingo
seems to be a solid pick here now, maybe Star if they value him significantly higher
10 TENN Fluker
secondary- Cooper, another team willing to trade down and get their guy later
11 SD Warmack
secondary- Jarvis Jones
12 MIA Eifert
one of the most likely trading up teams, secondary- Rhodes or Cooper
13 JETS Lotulelei
great fit and value, secondary- Austin
14 CARO Sheldon Richardson
this is one of my most solid picks, secondary- Rhodes or Austin

With the 15th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select-
Jarvis Jones, Linebacker, University of Georgia

ST explodes believing we finally have a fearful pass rush coming with our Terrell Suggs-like pick.
secondary- Xavier Rhodes
previous- Lotulelei when it looked like he might slip

#75 Darius Slay CB Mississippi St

we haven't discussed him much but he would be a prize here, fastest DB at the combine
secondary- CB David Amerson, DT Brandon Williams, Phillip Thomas S
previous- CB Robert Alford

#109 Aaron Dobson WR Marshall

a bit of the Saints usual "who's he?" pick. You should know who he is tho. He has #1 WR star potential
OT Faulk or S Rambo could also be easy picks if they are available
previous- TE Travis Kelce, before we got Watson

#144 Reid Fragel OT Ohio St.

Needs developing but another former TE that has LT potential
secondary- CB Tharold Simon, LB A.J. Klien
previous- QB Matt Scott, adding Wallace I think they ride with the vets this year

#183 Duke Williams S Nevada

Can play either safety spot and is known for coverage ability
secondary- CB Commings, LB Mauti
previous- LB Stansly Maponga, still like if he's around

ETA: I'm guessing the Dolphins pick is being traded to a tight end needy team thats wanting to trade up right? Dolphins just got Keller.

Would be a great draft.

Dobson was going to be a guy I brought up in my WRs draft thread.

Great blend of size, athleticism and an absolutely EXCELLENT Route runner.

Its a good looking mock except I think someone pulls the trigger on Austin in the top 15. Jets at 13 now seems like the spot. They need help on Offense in a bad way.
Im really feeling like Sheldon Richardson falls to us. And I think the staff cant pass up on his quickness.

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be disappointed when they see who is available to us at 15.

All it takes is for a few teams to get all horny for some mediocre Qb's way too early. I actually think we're going to be really surprised at who is available.

Your mock got me thinking a bit. I wonder since the jets have two first round picks now, maybe they give a surprise and get Eifert with the 9 pick and go best DL/OLB with the 13th pick. Worst case, they can get Jarvis Jones at 13 and get a stud TE to help create mismatches on offense and help qb (the person they designate as the thrower on the team)

ETA: I don't care for your fluker to tenn selection.

I think Star is the best player in the draft. If he gets past the Jets at #9, I think someone jumps up to take him.

I'd be happy with Jones though.

The one thing I will say about Reid is I really like him as a prospect, but I seriously doubt he's a day 1 starter. More like a year or 3 down the road.

A year 2 LT starter out of a 4th-5th round pick is pretty impressive.

Sean Porter in the 6th!

It is amazing how different ya can see guys from January to April!

Remember we were talking Sam Montgomery before the 3-4 switch? Seems he could now possibly still be around at #75!
