The level of impatience around here these days is baffling. There are also a lot of insecure fans posting on here.

The league is littered with guys who are preseason stars who never do shite again. Likewise, the league is littered with starters who don't do shite in preseason but do great in the regular season. Why? Because the preseason doesn't matter.
it was amazing to me how many people were ready to jump off a bridge after the first two games.

Preseason doesn't matter in W/L, but it does help you evaluate how your players react in game situations. That's the value it holds, at least for a fan sitting on a couch.

Sproles just got here....give him a shot to get acclimpated. He's still a way better option than Reggie. So far he's gotten more yards north to south and caught (and dropped) just as many passes as the guy he replaced. Also seems way more durable

I wouldn't say he is trash, but he isn't the same player he was 2 years ago.

As for the Saints RBs, after the fiasco last year I see them keeping all the RBs.

Sproles has shown absolutely nothing to me

Good thing it's the coaches that he has to show it to and not you. Maybe if you would pay attention to his career rather than just 3 preseason games then you would have seen him with a big fricking sign written out to suavecito8 saying "here you go, watch me, I am about to show you something" and know that the dude is legit.

I don't know, maybe I am coming down a little hard on you, but you have really yet to show me anything

Go smoke a cigarette or something and calm the hell down. I know what he has done before. I am not calling him trash and I am not saying he will not do good things BUT if you read my post as of right now this instant he has not done anything. You tell me has he? Bell has shown out, PT has done his thing (as usual) and Ingram has three TD's in as many games. Again, read my post again I am not saying he will not do anything or is a waste.

I had someone tell me earlier that, "Mark Ingram just isn't living up to the expectations. I'd rather keep Bell."

I didn't know how to respond, so I just walked off and played XBOX.

my wife even told me she was dealing with kids at school saying "the Saints aren't looking too good this year." She straightened them out. Many said they got it from their parents.

I've witnessed many years of "they're going to the Super Bowl this season!" when the idea of playoffs was a faint hope at best. This year is worst in the opposite direction I've ever seen. 0-0 unless I missed something.

Yeah, my co-workers are all way more into college football but follow the Saints somewhat. Anyway they have been very skeptic so far. I mean thats okay, its their opinion. But when I hear shite like "Man all these new guys we brought in aren't doing shite," I get pissed off. Its the preseason for christ sake. I just get that impatient vibe from them. Its a long season, don't freak out before it gets here!

Yeah, his reasoning was, "He hasn't broken a long touchdown run. He's not the playmaker I thought he was." I'm like dude, he had no offseason. He's a rookie. This is his third game, and he's scored 3 TOUCHDOWNS.

He then says that,"Well, Chris Ivory had that 80 yard touchdown in the Chargers preseason game last season." I want to punch myself.

My point is that Bell needs to make the team - not practice squad. I see us keeping 4)'s with Bell and Sproles and Collier the lone FB.

pretty interesting observation. without any huge wins, people seem to hold more hope and optimism because thats all they have.

give someone a true sense of achievement and they all of a sudden lose that optimism and become ultra critical.

when you expect more, you are more critical. when you dont really think the team will perform, you think super bowl.
