He’s as soft as Malachi Dupree was.

Ok, as a Saints and LSU fan... Zavion Thomas goes in the 3rd, but Barrion Brown in the 6th? What's the separation? 40 times? Because having watched both on the field at the same time, if you told me one guy would run 4.28 and the other 4.4, I'd have guessed wrong which was which. Thomas seemed shifty but not blazing fast. Brown did seem to separate more deep. Production? I didn't think either really stood out as WRs. Brown led the team with catches and yards, but it was an underwhelming year to say the least. And note, Thomas had an additional year in the system; if anything he should have been more familiar with it than Brown. Return guys? Thomas is a good punt returner, and I'd say Brown is a better kick returner. I don't know if Brown can return punts. Was it the 20-odd rushes and occasionally lining up as a RB? That's really the only difference between the two, as far as I can tell. Does that give you a 3 rd bump? If so, maybe more WRs should demand they get rotations in the backfield too.

Thomas is one of the most underutilized skill players in our lifetimes at LSU. Elite speed, strength like a RB, and pretty good hands. And tough as hell. I’ve been saying this for two years. He’ll be a good pro. Can line up all over the field and be primary return man.

Brown is not strong, quits on plays when he’s not targeted, and is limited in his WR roles. Hes an electric returner no doubt, but Thomas brings so much more to the table.

I think both were drafted appropriately. Happy to get Brown for returning and special offensive looks, though.

I'm not denying 4.28 is elite, but I would NEVER have guessed Thomas would run that. He never showed that on the field. Whenever the discussion was about who the fastest player on the team was, he was never considered.

He was always deceptively fast. He's a stocky guy too, which make it seem like he's slower IMHO.

I know he's under utilized, but damn a 3rd was definitely not where I was thinking. More like late 4 at earliest too many question marks.

Well, that's just it. When you say someone is "deceptively fast", it's like Justin Jefferson, who ran a 4.41. We were like "wow, I didn't think he was that fast, I always thought he was just an elite route guy. He could be really good in the NFL".... and he was.

4.28 isn't deceptive, it's blazing.

If he showed that speed on the field, you don't care or notice his build, because he should be dusting guys. He should have been breaking big plays because defenders took the wrong angles.

About to get downvoted but I'm not sold on Delp. I watched his highlights. Good route runner and good blocker. Saw alot of highlights where the ball his hands and he would bobble it but would still catch it.

I think he has potential. His production I feel like was handicapped by poor qb play and a trash offense that couldn’t get first downs. Eager to see what he can do in a diff situation.

Between Barion and Styles, we fixed our special teams for a while. Again, with youth and blazing speed.

I love it.
