i think most of the comments from Smith's attorney were sensationalized. He kinda went that way from the start.
Forensics will be able to get most of the truth.

Of course they were. As was Hayes's lawyer.
They are paid to change public perception and steer it in a certain direction.
The facts will emerge. They almost always do.

Im not really dismissing it, there just isnt anything new here, given his angle.
Two different situations. Hayes lawyer came out after the shooting, and days later the things he said was backed up by facts.
Smith's lawyer lied against video evidence we already have(Will Smith hit and run), and then omitted anything about Will Smith & his handgun, where there is another eyewitness account that both men mentioned having guns during the confrontation.
What do you think we can actually take from the statement? He wasn't sure of himself, and everything he said was "from my understanding". Then he went and omitted a bunch of details(rightfully so).

Don't mind LE he stated in a thread that got deleted that he was related to hayes. He's trying to prove his innocence.

he did admit that will and his male passenger got out of the car and confronted the 2 men in the hummer and words were exchanged.

He didn't omit this. He said the handgun was concealed in a compartment. Which seems to, guess what, be backed up with facts.

From my understanding is lawyer talk.
We are supposed to take from the statement that Racquel was shot first and Smith was shot in the back, and that Smith's gun was in a compartment, not brandished by him.
Simple enough.
