He may have sped off and run a red light to catch up with the Impala he was trying to follow...

That tweeting attorney has pretty much stated the police department has botched this and that it is BS that they needed a search warrant to look for another gun. I believe he is claiming they knew there was another gun from the beginning.

Just today he suggested a cop hid Smiths gun to the media

Yea I always run red lights after drinking so I don't lose the car I'm following.
I never have this device on me that I can call people, use gps, etc.
Lol

Rt3, my post got buried. Where is the link about the ballistics test? Last I saw it hasn't been completed

just about everyone that knows anything claims he is a really good lawyer. So ask them.
I know after his original presser, most of what he said came to fruition. So his track record is much stronger than that lousy press conference the Smith camp put together today.

yet according to Smith's lawyer, they were just bringing friends home. We dont even know if they were following them.
Smith broke 2 laws within a :30 time period. And prob 3 once it comes back that he was legally drunk.

Defense attorney stated ballistic test isn't out but seemed confident that it won't show what Smith's attorney claims.
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:26 pm to lsupride87
No he didn't.
His comment about the witness did not reference the cop, only that someone saw Smith brandish a gun.

Confused...Did Smith have the gun out of the car and approach Hayes? If Smith was outside the car his gun would be on the ground. Right? Was Smith trying to put it back in the car when he was shot?

ok I slightly misquoted

Detectives who searched Smith’s Mercedes G63 on Tuesday morning said they found a fully loaded 9 mm handgun inside. Police have not said who owned the weapon or where in the SUV it was found, but its presence could lend credence to a theory of self-defense for Hayes.
However, police said they found “no ballistic evidence” to show that the weapon in Smith’s SUV was fired during the encounter between the two men.

We would have to have proof he had a gun in his hands first before trying to answer all that
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:30 pm to Vacherie Saint
Yes, he did. He specifically said he had a witness who saw a coverup and is afraid to come public.
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:31 pm to rt3
Right. Do we have no ballistic evidence showing who shot Mrs smith

well... process of elimination
we know 3 guns were found (the murder weapon and 1 in each vehicle)
the other 2 were both still fully loaded and didn't show any signs of being fired... only the murder weapo had
therefore...
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:34 pm to rt3
Not to mention Mrs. Smith is still alive and likely knows who shot her.
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:34 pm to rt3
Therefore the impala still hasn't been searched. Or the other gun left the scene. Until ballistics are done, we won't know where all the bullets come from
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:36 pm to lsupride87
What was going on in the Impala during all of this?
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:37 pm to Rocky4LSU
Smith's attorney still has the testimony from the two passengers in Smiths car to counter witness testimony
Posted on 4/13/16 at 8:38 pm to Rocky4LSU
I imagine impartial witnesses will weigh the heaviest on jurors minds
