Oh, no, my bad. I'm sorry for wanting actual evidence of this extreme hate for some a-hole quarterback. Forgive me. I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to find, bro.

And I'm also sorry that you felt the need to act like a complete asshat ITT.

To get back on topic, I think Drew Brees is already the best Saints player, and he will only continue to add to his legacy. He will continue to rack up yards and touchdowns. Possibly even another Super Bowl if the defense continues the improvement.

I never said I didn't appreciate Saints history. I said Archie is a pretentious horse faced dick weasel, and Peyton Manning is a spoiled piece of shite.

I have no problems with Eli.

Thats funny, cause I agree with you that the OP is an idiot, but everyone knows Eli is a tool/douche, and Peyton, despite his faults, is much more tolerable.

If Peyton is so classy, why did he not go shake Drew's hand after SB44?

IMO, his excuse was pretty valid. A lot more so then when Brady and Belichick stormed off the field after losing to Peyton a few years back. Peyton is a complete professional on the field.

It's tough to argue Drew isn't King of Saints Town. However, I can tell you that Archie was a great QB and played for a New Orleans team that sucked every year. The year he brought us to an 8-8 record was phenomenal. Had he ever played for a decent team he'd have been known as one of the NFL greats - he was THAT good. He's always been allegiant to New Orleans. For that I am appreciative. Without his voice the Saints may have moved to another city during the awful years. You Saints fans of today have no idea how spoiled you are and what the old Saints went through. Archie IS an icon.

(Wouldn't it be cool to see a white uni throwbacks worn by our Saints some time?)

Get ready for the "Drew would have taken them to the Super Bowl in those days" comments.

In all honesty, I'm sure Archie was a great player and he seems like a genuinely good guy and has been a good ambassador for New Orleans.

That being said, Brees has been a better player, a more important figure and has been an active figure in one of the toughest times in New Orleans history. No real comparison.

Archie Manning was an underappreciated player on generally horrendous teams for perhaps the most inept front office in NFL history (an astronaut?). He was NFC Player of the Year on a sub-.500 team, and as Roger Staubach said, "Put me on the Saints and Archie on the Cowboys, and he's the one in the Hall of Fame". He's been a tireless ambassador for New Orleans, including post-Katrina work, and just about anyone who's ever met him considers him a gentleman of unimpeachable character.

But Drew Brees is the Greatest Saint of All Time.

Finally. A voice of reason . . .

ETA: The Manning "hate" is so transparently lacking in reason that it's absurd. On a personal level, to the extent I've interacted with the family a little bit, they've been nothing but very nice and warm people.

Dumpster, can I call you dumpster? Dumpster, I've notice you like to drop in threads and find the "voice of reason" like you've just descended from a mountain after a long soul searching sabbatical. I find this very gay and you need to stop. K thanks.

Eli is the biggest douche of the bunch. Crying about the probability of him getting drafted by the chargers.. Archie IS a huge figure in saints history (not greatest) but he was a bit of a twat when the Colts were initially projected to draft Andrew Luck.

How can you bring that situation up and make archie completely blameless in it. He's more of a shite because if it than Eli
