Eli Apple was in the locker room today. He couldn’t tell us much about future tests, etc, but he was walking, albeit with a limp.

Sometimes the more painful it is the lesser the actual injury. Sprains often hurt more than complete ruptures.

I'm sure MRI tomorrow and we'll see what the damage is and go from there. Standard protocol

yeah but usually it will get leaked out if it's a torn acl or something bad.
they usually will know what it is on the field

Not to be a pessimist.

But it’s obviously way worse than a hyper extension. Something is torn or dislocated

Leg flexed inward. That’s typically an MCL. Hurts and swells, but is manageable as long as it’s not a complete tear or a torn meniscus.

Hope he’s okay. Maybe we can let CJGJ start next week and rest Apple for two weeks.

Players are generally not in the lockerroom talking to reporters if they are suspected of having a tear. They are in the training room and separated until the press is gone.

They would know if it was an acl pretty quickly.

Not true.

Most likely a grade 1 or 2 MCL sprain. Out 3-4 weeks

We’ll survive. Play PJ outside unfortunately and CGJ inside

If the team were waiting to confirm tomorrow via MRI, I doubt they'd let him walk around the locker room

For the really bad injuries the trainers know immediately even if they can’t confirm until tests the next day. The fact he is hanging out with the team means the trainers aren’t overly worried.

Praying for the best obviously. But the on field reaction was more dire than that. Hope so tho.

Although I’ve hyperextended my knee before. It’s not exactly like an elbow or something. I’m no professional athlete but it was a while before I could play basketball again. And even then I wore a brace for a long time after that.

Your knee doesn’t feel like it’s sitting on top of your lower leg. It’s not constant, but every now and then with a random step you feel like it might just go.
