It means he's making the most of his opportunities. One must wonder if he would be able to keep this up if his opportunities increase...

Do you know who had the highest DVOA in the entire league, but wasn't included in the rankings because he was not targeted enough?

Could it be the pride of the 2007 draft?
Is he going to have an increased role next year? Seems like he's had enough time to learn the offense.

If you look at the last few games of last year, he was getting it, which is good. Both he and Henderson are going to pwn kids deep, and that's going to leave Colston 1-1 more often.

Anyone Surprised at How Devery Has come Around?
From Football Outsiders:
DVOA is a method of evaluating teams, units, or players. It takes every single play during the NFL season and compares each one to a league-average baseline based on situation. DVOA measures not just yardage, but yardage towards a first down: five yards on third-and-4 are worth more than five yards on first-and-10 and much more than five yards on third-and-12.
Is that the same site that lookked at all DB's from 2007 and statistically proved that an offense would have more success throwing against Jason David than a "hole in the zone"?

Yep

Thanks!
This is what I was looking for.
Worst Yards per Pass
Jason David, NO: 14.5
Hole in Zone, 11.9
Yes, Jason David is worse than throwing at a hole in the zone.
I almost feel bad for him, then I remember his salary.

dude, that sig is fricking money.
oh, and we won't be stopped. like I said, our WR core is SICK and we have a plethora of options in the passing game. Deep speed deamons (meach and devery) all around gangsta and endzone stunna (Colston), and the magneto hands midget (moore) who's got all the stuff in the middle. Who can frick with that? Huh? Who? Noone, that's who. Don't forget about the unknown in Arrington who I believe will be along the lines of Colston. WE....WILL.....NOT....BE.....STOPPED!!!

Not the wind but a 'Queif' I believe.

The fact that Devery still was able to get open deep without a running game says a lot.
