Do you think he's a poor evaluator of defensive talent or something? The guy isn't a great HC (still has a chance to get better by the way. People aren't just stuck as they are if they're willing to change) but that doesn't mean he becomes absolutely useless in all things football. Don't be so simple minded.

The same was said about Belichik and Carrol. I don't think he's either but the point stands. People have the ability to adapt and change.

Umm what? Belicheck had at least an 11-5 record during his time on Cleveland. Carrol had a losing season his first year and was fired, and then never had a losing season as new England’s HC.
Dennis Allen just had the easiest schedule I can ever remember the Saints having since I’ve been a fan and barely barely had a winning record and that’s only because of the extra game.
BB and Carrol actually had success early in their careers. Allen hasn’t sniffed the playoffs in half a decade.
