Color me surprised- I had him written him off with the Saints...

Easton would have stopped the Vikings offense in overtime? interesting
Posted on 3/20/20 at 1:53 pm to Rand AlThor
yeah I want to see how the deal is structured but not much about it on the surface makes sense.

Saw this tweet and thought it summed it up really well
Loomis is consistent with how he moves, you just have to pay attention. He signs who takes his “fair” deal first (Onyemata) then he has a guy what he would like to retain but has a verified backup plan (Bell to Jenkins) then he slightly overpays the no real clear Plan B (Peat)

I'd rather have saved some of that Peat money to get Everson Griffen as the #3 DE

Hendrickson is fine in that role. Not saying I wouldn’t want Griffen because that would take our DL over the top but it’s not necessary. He’s also probably looking to get paid

Peat left the game with the Saints down 20-10. We scored on the drive, and got the back back 20-17 and be came back in the game. He was a revolving door giving up interior pressure. Hard to overcome that especially with Minny’s elite edge rush with it
We had 2 possessions after to win the game in regulation and had a fumble and field goal
Holding a team to 20 at home should be a W for us.

Peat couldn't do sh!t that game.
Couldn't cover, tackle, catch, run, block, throw, get the team amped up and ready to play or call a good game to save his life.

Dude he sucks. He looked more like a fat broad in yoga pants than a football player against the Vikings.

But he seems to play about 1/4 of every season at LT. I’m not saying he’s good, but he is valuable. And I don’t care how much anybody gets paid, only how it affects the salary cap. Any updates on how this deal will?

57 million? Lol could have signed that bum for a pound of flour and a bag of sugar. Nobody was paying him big money. The Saints are dumb as frick. He was utter garbage last year. Got Drew injured and then cost us against Minnesota.

Yeah about that.....we paid $8 million for an old WR

Wow. Peat resigned for five years. I must know nothing about football...never saw this coming. Here to hoping he miraculously is healthy and plays like Jarhi Evans in his prime.
