It'll shock Saints fans.
The New Orleans Saints stood pat on their coaching staff for the most part during this off-season. That included head coach Dennis Allen after a disappointing season a year ago.
The organization believes in Allen and his staff. They think that a bounce-back campaign is coming that hopefully includes less injuries to key players. Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, one betting site believes that Allen is due for a solid season in New Orleans.

Dennis Allen currently has third-best odds to win the coach of the year next season at
@betonline_ag
. And some other names at the top of the list that are quite familiar.
Sean Payton - 7/1
Matt Eberflus - 10/1
Dennis Allen - 12/1
Dan Campbell - 12/1
Kyle Shanahan - 16/1
This is certainly surprising when you consider the names around Allen.
Campbell is an ascending coaching star with a Lions team on the rise. Sean Payton is a coaching legend as Saints fans know quite well.
Matt Eberflus will have many new weapons in Chicago with the Bears. Kyle Shanahan is one of the brightest offensive minds of this generation.
Then, there's Allen. You cannot deny his defensive prowess. His unit will be very solid, but his head coaching abilities last year were questionable once again.
After his previous HC struggles with the Raiders, it is surprising to see him get this much credit for a potential resurgence this year for the Saints.
We will see if he can prove them right very soon, though.

If CSP brings Denver to the playoffs, he's gonna win it. Because I honestly think that team & Wilson are broken as frick.

Did the script for next season leak?

I want to believe that this will happen, but the past history of Dennis Allen tells me it definitely won’t.
Hopefully Dennis Allen can catch lightning in a bottle and have a miraculous season like Ed Orgeron did at LSU in 2019. That season is still so unbelievable to me.

On the surface, the schedule looks very soft. DA could accidently trip into a 12+ win season (i.e., your CEO analogy), which would have to have him as a good candidate for COY

Who knows.
Loomis has certainly done a good job so far this offseason. If we have a 2017 caliber draft class we are right back in it assuming Carr is top 15 QB.

Can I bet the NO on Dennis Allen at -2400?
I would put my whole life savings on that to get the most satisfying 4.16% return of my life.

I really hope he does - just to take a big dump on the haters.

Yeah, I would be ecstatic with an Orgeron year because it means they win a Super Bowl, whether or not they are terrible the year after like the Rams were.
