I hope he’s not asking for Zeke money. Give him 5/60 with a 20-25mm guarantee and call it a day. He deserves it

Maybe throw in a few incentives if he leads the league in various stats.

He was playing great then got injured last season but still played through.

Coaches have been praising him up to his hold out.

He’s to valuable of a piece not to sign. He’ll be suited up with a deserving long term contract come sept 13

He could “hold in” and just come up with an injury excuse to not play, but attend all meetings and practices. It’s happening with Ingram for the Chargers

No it's not.

Apparently Jenkins was last seen at practice on August 23rd, no comment on why he is out.

But Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said Tuesday that Ingram is “holding in” at camp. Here is how Rapoport explained that term “holding in:” “Well, the CBA, the way it is constructed now basically bans holdouts. We did not see any this year despite several big-name players wanting new contracts. Instead, because the holdout is so punitive, what you get now is the ‘hold in,’ which is a player showing up to training camp, still wanting a new contract, not saying too much, but not doing too much either, and Melvin Ingram, the standout pass rusher for the Los Angeles Chargers, is in that category right now

FYI, Malcolm Jenkins has also been out for undisclosed reasons and Payton has refused to comment on he and Kamara.

Wow. Just look at all the upside we got from signing Jenkins.

With AK he was coming off a injury right before trying to hit a payday.
Going to camp was to show all that the ol AK was back and improve his leverage a little bit.

Kamara is holding out for what: between 12 and 16 million? Ain't gonna happen, especially with a projected lower salary cap next year.

When you outperform your rookie contract they want to get paid before the team can put the screws to you by using the franchise tag.
It's the unintended effect of the rookie deals agreed to under the last labor agreement.

This reality should result in compromise.

When you set a price tag at the top of your position there's no real incentive for the team.

Should’ve packaged him for draft picks... but the saints would’ve screwed up and taken a center from southeastern with the additional picks lmao
