Let’s just get that clear, ownership and Mickey took the lazy way out when looking.

What? Ownership and Mickey forced DA to take the job? Everyone is culpable in this mess.

That’s true, but he still accepted the job and knew the responsibility that came with it.

Im certainly not giving him a pass because he willingly accepted the position.

I was for the hiring. The idea was Continuity, keeping Carmicheal keeps the install in place. So running the same schematics on both sides of the ball. Defense took a step back from being top notch to middle of the road. Thats Allens impact directly. Carmichael can call a decent game with the install but he is a very unconfrontational guy. Lot of mistakes on that side or the ball. And Pete not a guy to hold em accountable.

The offense just doesn’t look well coached. It’s one thing to be able to call plays and game plan, though I don’t think Carmichael has done that well, either. But they look poorly coached and that goes beyond play calls and game plans.

Come on man think this through. The logic behind this was
was spot on.The problem was they overestimated Oaklands
incompitance because of AL DAVIS.They felt that DA didn`t
get a fair shake with the Raiders. All they had to do was
look at DAs gamefilm from his Oakland days and see the same
undisciplined mistake prone team they see now in N.O.
Mickey has some serious decisions to make.Gayle is clueless
about what is good or bad with football.Saints fans are
stuck with mediocraty, we have no choice other than not
buy tickets to the games.

They should have known better and hired a better guy, we all hoped it worked out and I get the whole keep same group of guys together etc but a better choice should have been made. The Saints still have a chance to turn this around and quick because have defense is good and the offense has some nice pieces. Just need the right HC and right qb that sees the potential here. Just gotta make the necessary changes

I think the biggest thing that held the offense back this season was the O Line because of the injuries.

Basically the same thing happened last year but last year I think they started a lot more different starting lineups due to injuries or covid.

I don't think that excuses everything though.

Or the people doing the hiring could have tried harder, ultimately its their decision not his.

Believe me, I think it was a convenient hire as well.

FYI saints defense ranked #5 in total defense. That’s not middle of the pack!
