Saints linebacker Alex Anzalone missed most of last season, and the Saints missed him.

Anzalone, 25, played only the first two games before shoulder surgery ended his season.

He tweeted this week that he is “good to go” after rehab.

Anzalone has played all 16 games only one time in three seasons.

That came in 2018 when he made 59 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception.

The 2017 third-round draft choice ended his first season on injured reserve, too, playing only four games.

Anzalone played only 46 defensive snaps last season, making seven tackles and a sack.

He is. But we keep having to use that qualifier. Damn this feels like the Ellerbe saga all over again.

He’s still got work to do as MLB. I didn’t think he was playing that well before the injury

This is why you don’t draft players with a long injury history. They never shake it. Avoid them like the plague.

Need to draft his replacement. He’s too unreliable.

Nothing worse than a player who has such potential yet just can’t stay healthy.

Article should read: Alex Anzalone “good to go” for new injuries in 2020”

Keep him but damn you need someone on the roster who you think can do the things he does as well or better.

Do we start placing bets for how many games he misses this year? Over under has to be around 6.

I’m going over at 9.
