it is absurd we've now gotten to the point where people have to apologize for supporting the president. I don't really care where anyone leans politically and certainly don't expect them to apologize for it if we disagree. People are dumb.

That wasn’t why we got rid of him. Trump wasn’t president when that happened.

Really?

Not that exact reason, but it shows he's an idiot and should not worry about what his boss likes or does in his life outside of football. Sure, Stills can have an opinion, but doesn't need to share it when it's about the person writing his checks to play a game for a living.

So you’re telling me you wouldn’t ever voice an opinion if your boss was a hardcore liberal? Sure, guy.

I don't think it would've been that big a deal. Hell, folks criticized Obama for wearing tan suits (which did look bad, but i digress)...so i'm sure if he had introduced a policy banning people from majority Nordic, Swiss, and European nations, or if he had people committing mass shootings and leaving 'hope and change' manifestos around, people and the media probably would've criticized him too.

Gotta love the 'waaah double standard' folks who don't grasp context or nuance.

That said...our team plays in like 24 hours - why is this the most active thread, about someone we've moved on and up from YEARS ago?

Good riddance.

The point was it wasn't this exact reason like the dude was posting before, but just ignore that smart guy. The original poster was talking bout Still's history of stupid comments (Big Mouth) being the reason. Sure, I would tell my boss something if we disagreed on an issue that affected me or work, but I wouldn't just come out and publicly criticize him for his beliefs or being friends with people I don't like. It's got nothing to do with his kneeling-arse so no need to comment. You wouldn't either tough guy!

You shouldn't apologize for being racist, it's just good to see who's who around the world.

And those criticizing Stills aren't entitle to their opinion?

It's the height of irony/hypocrisy to see someone criticize a fan for criticizing Stills for criticizing the owner.

Absolutely no reason this thread should be on this board especially considering that’s not at all why we traded him.

The media coverage of this makes it sound like Stills blasted him on twitter. That tweet is pretty subdued.

Field a team of Trump supporters and see how you do.
Not to get too political on a football board, but...

I remember both Belichik and Brady supporting him going into '16. Gronk too.

And to be 100% open about it, prior to his presidential campaign, Trump sure seemed to mesh VERY well with a whole lot of successful guys. Guys who did whatever (sports, music, etc) well, and also liked making money. They didn't just take pictures once and move on, you have people like Hershel Walker, Jay Z, Money Mayweather etc, who met him, and then always spoke highly of him.

Odds are, you likely can field a damn good team of 'quiet' Trump supporters, who just don't talk to reporters about their pick.

Just letting you know that Trump had nothing to do with it. Maybe use your choice of words a little better.

Depends, is he openly criticizing and opposing his boss when doing this?

But it was a nice strawman

Maybe behind his back. In public to the media? Hell no guy

Unless I had another job lined up with a Trump supporter
