I've said it since the title game and I'll say it now.....get as much talent as you can for the 2019 season. If that means possibly sacrificing our future for this one year, do it. Make the NFL pay in 2019. If this means making a move for AB, fricking do it.

That's where I'm coming from. 2019 is Brees last hurrah. All the chips to the middle. We signing everybody.

One of our biggest weaknesses this year was lack of a true second threat at WR after Ginn went down. If Drew restructures his contract, and we could somehow get him, AB would be a massive addition. The Saints have to be in win now mode. Even if AB carries baggage with him, his immediate impact would outweigh it. I mean really. Imagine Michael Thomas on one side, Antonio Brown on the other, the seasoned vet Ginn at slot, Kamara in the backfield, and Drew Brees under center.
If you're a D-Coordinator, what do you do?
They used to double (or triple sometimes) MT, AND Kamara. But you can't NOT double Antonio Brown.
The Saints would automatically have not just the greatest WR tandem in the current NFL, but one of the greatest ALL-TIME.
The team doesn't have any TRUE needs. MT was Brees' first ProBowl AND All-Pro WR. And look at how he has stayed deadly, even at 40. I say give him 2 All-Pro WRs and see what happens.

TE is definitely a true need.
Oline and Dline depth are also very true needs. With FA and injuries and possible suspensions looming.
WR could be very strong if Meredith and Dez return from injury.
AB would be a great piece to have but you could use that money for more assets.
