Strengths- elite arm talent, very good athlete with strong creativity and instincts. Had much fewer weapons in 2022 vs. 2021, yet posted far better numbers. Very tough player, maybe to he detriment as you’ll see below. From all accounts, he’s high character and high intangible. 5th year senior.
Weaknesses- being a BYU guy, he will be 25 this season. Has a noteworthy injury history- 2 concussions in 2019, missed all of 2020, had nagging injuries at the end of 2022. Not polished or refined, needs a lot of development. Not a natural “in rhythm” passer. Not prototypical size.
6’1’’
205
4.54 40
9 1/2 hands
We’ll see more concrete measurements at the combine, but that’s what I found so far.
2021:
63.9%, 2583, 20 TD 5 INT
2022:
66%, 3171, 31 TD 6 INT
Highlights

I kinda want to take 2 qbs. Kinda like when Washington took RG3 high and Kirk cousins in a later round. Or the 49ers taking lance last year high and Purdy late this year. Would definitely take a look at this guy

So, a backwards wishbone/split back from the pistol where you have 2 QBs next to each other then a RB behind them?

I’ll take the guy from tcu over him

We already have a BYU guy. Plus the last BYU prospect was much higher regarded and is struggling in the NFL.

The Oklahoma qb prospect before jalen hurts struggled.

What does Wilson have to do with anything?

I like him, he is like a poor man's Justin Fields. And if QB doesn't work out for him he can talk to his fellow BYU guy Taysom about playing all over the field.

Just putting it out that BYU hasn't produced an NFL quarterback since Young

And a lot before him were in the NFL

He is for sure worth a shot with a late middle rounder.

What school do qbs produce from? Seems almost all of them fail

Byu has had 5 QBs start an NFL game since Steve Young

I meant viable starting qb, not backup that gets a chance here and there with the jury still out on Wilson. Plus the injuries for Hall are an issue.
