Bad game by Drew (stupid decisions), worse game by Payton (refusing to run), and worst game by offensive line. What a joke our pass protection is. With an offense that sputters like that, you need a good defense. Whiners offensive is pathetic, and we made them look good. This team is junk, plain and simple.

Stats don't tell the story, watch the game. 3rd and 1 and pass, yet again for an incomplete at a crucial time. Throw on 1st over and over. Every damn time we throw an incomplete on first we run on 2nd. So bloody predictable.

I think the Saint's receiving corps is very average right now, the OL is not at full strength, and the running backs are mediocre. Ingram has come to life a little bit. We should give him a 1 year contract so it will always be a contract year. Drew can't do it all himself although sometimes he tries. I'll go to bat with Drew.

I still think Brees has plenty left in the tank. I think the offensive line is getting old and needs to be rejuvenated, this will help. We still have young WRs, they will get better. We need a better scout for defensive players, specifically secondary players and we need a new secondary and linebacker coach. The running game is just fine. I don't know why 27 carries for Ingram isn't enough.
Now. Brees interception one = 7 points Gore TD
Brees interception two = potential 3-7 points off the board but we will never know.
Brees fumble = 3 points Dawson, game over.
Those are mistakes that cost the team. Can you take the game as a whole and not point out specific plays that lost it, yes. However, these plays directly gave points to San Fran and took potential points away from the Saints.
Still love Brees, still love the Saints and can still win the division at 6-10, 7-9 with the shite show that is the NFC south.
