If the Saints have a chance to to draft the best qb in the 2026 draft what do they do? I'm curious how invested they are to Shough!

Well, we obviously need to see what we have in Shough first.

If we have the 1st pick next year, then Shough obviously hasn't panned out like we would have liked.

Maybe someone at another position comes out and looks like an alltime prospect but if we're picking that high that would mean the qb room was pretty bad so why would they want to run that group back?

If you have a shot at a top tier QB, you have to take him.

Full stop

See what happened with jimmy clausen (2nd round 48th pick) and cam newton (1st overall) the following year.

If he's got it, he's got it. If you have a chance to get the #1 and you're THAT bad, you sell it for a haul or you take it and move on from Shough even if he has promise (hello NE with jimmy GQ etc)

Tyler's a clipboard holder, we will be in the Top 10 again, I hope I'm wrong but as long as Mickey running shite, we won't be a good organization. So freaking sick of Gayle and Mickey!

Maybe we do.
Maybe we don’t.
Maybe Shough is the next coming of Drew Brees.
Maybe Shough is the next coming of Drew Lock.
Maybe we wait until after the first game of the 2025 season before discussing the 2026 draft.

Stop making threads like this. The 2025 draft just ended and we have no clue what we even have. Last thing we need is another SirWinston mock draft

You normally don't see teams draft a qb early in the 2nd then the next year draft a qbin the first. If Carr is healthy and Shough doesn't get much playing time I'm just curious how they will handle the pick.If you don't like a post just move on and don't waste your time making a smart arse comment. If you know the draft like I do you would understand it's a good question. Teams that draft a Qb in top 50 picks don't draft a Qb in the first first the next draft

The Cardinals drafted a qb in the top 10 and moved on.

If we sucked bad enough to draft that high I think its likely shough didn’t really show out. I HIGHLY doubt they’d pass on a highly touted qb for the sunk cost of a second rounder.

The QB position requires extreme measures, always has!
You do what you can, to eventually land a franchise QB.....and it is very difficult.
