Every year we act like we get all these hidden gems with these UDFA signings and none of them ever sniff the field

You might hit on 2 out of 10-15. Not to say we havent done that, but the vast majority are camp bodies. Last year we signed 16 and the only one with a pulse was Tipton. The year before that signed 11 and hit on 2, Grupe and Orji. We did get Shaheed in 2022 , though.

Two Saints Hall of Famers, Pierre Thomas and Jabari Greer were UDFA.
Sometimes they hit. Sometimes they miss. Most of the time they end up camp bodies. It is what it is.
Remember they used to have something like 25 rounds with less teams. Guys like Deacon Jones, Johnny Unitas, Richard Dent, etc. would have been UDFAs these days.

pretty underwhelming list. guys like armstrong, cobee bryant, xavier restrepo, jared ivey, zy alexander, nick nash were available to grab as big homeruns.
