Let's say Barnett and pretty much the top edge rushers are gone, inclduing McKinley from UCLA.

Who do you want then? A LB like Reuben Foster or Zach Cunningham?

Or a CB like Tabor or Quincy Wilson?

So go edge rusher regardless even if most of the top guys are off the board?

You wouldn't rather a game changer at LB like Cunningham or Foster? The Saints have a chance to actually develop some good linebackers now that Vitt is gone.

I've got two friends who are UCLA fans and both said McKinley is a product of his DL. They say he's very raw and should be a 3rd rounder at best

I'm with you, I'd prefer LB... we had so many injuries at DB I don't think it's fair to judge that unit based on this past season. But the pass rush has sucked for years

Vanderdoes is only other NFL prospect on that line and he's probably a late round pick.

If we could figure out a way to use him, I'd consider Solomon Thomas out of Stanford. He's more of a LDE like Cam, though. Played some DT as well (which we don't really need, especially if we re-sign Fairley).

I don't really trust this team to draft/develop a LB, so probably would go CB if we don't love any available DE. Hopefully Kizer, Tribusky, or Watson fall and a team like Houston or KC is interested in trading up. Looks like the late first and early second rounds will have a lot of quality DE and CB's.

Nah. That vandy LB is going to be a star. I didn't see anyone play like him all year. When he's on the field, your eyes force you to watch him because he's all over the field.

No other college LB is on his level in my opinion.

Well Joe Vitt is gone now so there should be some optimism that this is going to change.

To me this really depends on what we do in FA.

IMO our needs go in this order:

1a. Guard
1b. Pass Rusher
2. LB
3. CB
4. RT (of the future)
5. HB (3rd down/pass catcher/scat)

I would just like them to use their best judgment based on this list... If we fill guard and LB in FA, then obviously prioritize pass rusher followed by CB. If there are no worthy pass rushers at our pick, then look at CB, etc. I believe in taking BPA at a position of relative need.

Vitt is gone so there's hope.

Ziggy Ansah was very raw once upon a time.

He had to be taught what a 3 point and 4 point stance actually were.

If a player can play, he can play. Develop the talent and use it to best effect.

We don't need Reuben!!!

He will be ejected from at least 3 games for targeting!!!!
