If we think Hightower is recovered, would we trade khiry away for a pick to a team like Houston?

Keeping 4 RBs. Spiller and Ingram are given. Figured it would be Robinson and Murphy as the other 2, having a back up for each running style. Assumed Hightower to be a camp body. Haven't heard much from Robinson (good or bad). Could Hightower work his way into the number 4 spot?

But but Murphy is the new Cadet. Kidding. Figured based on skill set we'd want a back up to each running stye.

You ever seen him take a knee on a kickoff? God-like. No one beats him out on that fact alone.

No, that's why they let go of Pierre Thomas. Murphy was a 7th round pick, he's expendable. Wouldn't shock me if Hightower makes the team and Murphy gets put on the PS

Anyone want to take me up on an over/under 39.5 catches for Watson (I have the over)?

And to think someone was saying he might not make the team.

pretty sure you said 54 catches last time. Why is the number going down?

Care to look through my post history?

And I did a math scenario that showed why 40 was not only realistic but likely because his catch numbers in the scenario came out to greater than 40. Maybe you are thinking of that?

But I'll I've ever said was he'd get at least 40.

Edit:
Found it.

I'm not predicting 54 catches for him because between Spiller and Hill I think he will see fewer targets than that scenario. That was just a what if to show how it is possible and quite reasonable if we decide to give him that big a share of Graham's targets.

I'm still pegging him for around 40 catches. I see Hill as much more of an x factor and could see him getting anywhere between 30-70 depending on just how good he looks. This is a guy that caught only 14 balls last year, 6 less than the finished Watson.

If anything I may have overshot Hill's floor at 30. Might have to lower that to 20.

sure....

Figuring Watson's catch rate and his prior production the last two year's he would get about 54 catches.

^^^

like you usually do, you say 2 totally different things. Just in case he doesn't get 54, and only gets 39. You'll gloat either way. Make up your mind.

No, I didn't think he would catch 54 balls.

I also dont think he is suited to be a TE1 anymore. Im not going to sit here and overeact to training camp TDs. As They can come in bunches considering the short field that they often find themselves in, ie redzone + goaline. At 35, Watson is what he is at this point.

He basically caught 20 balls last year by default. As ive said in other threads, I think he could get 30 rather easily. Dont think he gets into the 50's.
