Seriously, Tre’Quan is hot garbage and Ted Ginn certainly ain’t the guy. No move before trade deadline is simply unacceptable at this point. Glaringly obvious today and will be even more so going forward

From where are the Saints going to acquire another player who can catch and run routes at this point in the season?

How does this help defense on third down and Oline play?

What’s Calvin Johnson doing these days?

yep, but there are so many on this forum who keep saying we have the best WR in the whole league and we dont need anyone else because they wouldnt be an upgrade
they are silent as crickets now and yet they still refuse to admit the falcons took MT away and carr dropped like 6 passes that were in his hands, and we lost this game mainly from having no game plan at all, but also in large part because the WR werent getting open.
i will admit they came in like this was a practice scrimmage and just expected to win without a game plan and the birds came to play like this was their SB because its as close as they will ever get

What happened across the last 40 games
How did we only lose 8

It was glaringly obvious when last year ended. Payton decided to ignore it. I posted about it many times and got the same response from the resident idiots here that I was “overreacting.”

Doesn’t Bryant count? I thought that was a splash signing till he got hurt.

At no point today (at least that I remember) did Brees not have at least 4 or 5 seconds to throw the ball. Someone should be open. If he hasn’t found someone in five seconds, it ain’t on the OL. It’s a receiver problem, not an OL issue. You can only hold off NFL manimals for so long.

Anyone on the street right now isn't a top 100 WR.

I don’t know about this chief. He was harassed all day. I can only remember 1 true coverage sack.
Most of the pressure came with 3 and 4 man rushes too, so even if he is t pressured immediately, they have 7-8 in coverage

“That you remember”
Did you black out for the entirety of the game?
Today was not a “WR2” issue, it was an OL issue. They got consistent pressure with 4 guys, that means more guys to cover pass catchers

That’s not the problem. The problem is OL play and bad red zone offense
Cook was a solid option today.

Thank god someone with a brain. Cook was very solid today. He’s going to emerge as a reliable option for our offense. Our OL play, outside of Seattle, Chicago and Dallas, has been pretty subpar. That and a lack of running game always spell disaster for our offense. We only ran it 11 times today. Payton pressed and pressed but should have gotten Kamara and Murray a combined 20-25 rush attempts. The Falcons ran it 34 times. And they won.
It’s not complicated

Michael Thomas had 13 receptions and 152 yards receiving. He was hardly shut down or “taken away.” Saints had too many self-inflicted hemorrhages, both offensively and defensively. Falcons held the ball far too long on extended drives, only punting twice in the game. Saints had opportunities in the Red Zone and came away with only field goals, never attempting a pass into the end zone. Offensive penalties and miscommunication stifled any rhythm or continuity. Brees’ achievement today was a career high in sacks. The drops certainly didn’t help, and I would have loved to pick up Emmanuel Sanders but that’s not what caused today’s loss.

they still refuse to admit the falcons took MT away

one of their sacks in the 2nd half came when they only rushed three.
