Seems weird for a team that runs so much

I've watched the saints enough to know on runs 10 yards or more there's a hold called about 40% of the time. SF busts those long runs every drive, yet no flags, ever

You guys see how they gave them an extra 4 seconds after delay of game?

Refs did everything in their power to give them a chance

They don't apply the rules of the game consistently and accurately. Whether it's intentional or through incompetence, we can't know for sure.

You may scoff at it, but I believe the NFL was truly trying to influence a SF win, but KC was just too good.

Sometimes it doesn’t work out the way they want it to, but that doesn’t mean the higher ups aren’t doing everything they can to influence the outcome while still protecting the brand. And after last years Rams no call, it’s not like they could blatantly do that again.

Next best thing...keep flags in the pocket for SF.

Fortunately it didn’t work out for them.

have zero doubt the refs did not want to look incompetent with bad calls and reversals.

Well how do they do this one ask?

By keeping the flags in pocket.

I would not mind a over haul of the refs, how they are employed, trained, hours and wages.

Get out of here with that incredibly sound logic.

Not sure if it’s still the same way, but NFL officials usually hold other jobs. Which is mind blowing to me.

The refs probably received a "points of emphasis" that the Saints have a tendency to hold on long runs.

Yep, frick the NFL. I didn't watch one snap of the playoffs or SB. I'm done with the NFL other than our Saints and I have been going back and forth with them. This whole league has been fricking ruined!

Strictly into college football and college sports now!

There are folks out there that think the NFL refs are just neutral enforcers of the rules.

If this were the case, there were a handful of opportunities to flag KC where it would not have been controversial.

On the big play to Hill, there were questions if Bosa was held. This play was the one that a lot of people are crediting for KC's come back as it was 3rd & 15 with about 7 minutes left.

There was a key 3rd down where it appeared KC had a player lined up in the neutral zone uncalled.

The 3rd down play where Williams may have stepped out before crossing the GL could have been ruled out on the field forcing a KC challenge, or overturned in review.

Louisiana isnt a major market. Do we do well per pop? Sure. But the nfl wants big city teams to thrive. Waay more money attached to merchandise. They make sooo much off merchandise alone. Saints fans should hit back and not buy their shite

Well unfortunately for the 49ers there were not enough camera shots or a pylon camera to show if he broke the plain before stepping out.
You can't tell from that picture If he had already crossed the goal line before he stepped out either.
Which is why they said the call stands not confirmed.
