You think Willie starts Dyson or Trey if Zion out? As much as I was pissed Willie started Dyson instead of Trey vs Washington, I can see starting Dyson here just to bother Ja but man that will really hamper our offense.

I think he'll probably start Dyson but I hope it's Trey. i have no idea what the advanced stats say but watching the pelicans play basketball and common sense tells me I don't want Dyson and Herb on the court at the same time for extended/starter minutes. Add to the fact that in a dream world I would have Trey on the court for 48 minutes for 82 games.

I do. Shut down Ja and Bane.

Then, we only have to worry about JJJ, since Smart is still out. If we can get JJJ in early foul trouble, we'll cruise to a win, even without Zion.

Eh I think Grizz want a low scoring game personally. We start Dyson, defense may be good but our offense will be really bad. I think with Trey in the lineup they won’t be able to keep pace even with Ja.

It’s the organizations way of punishing the nationally televised networks. They did this all last year with either BI or Zion. I’m sure they didn’t love the criticism Zion received so this is their Eff u to TNT

(Have to coddle Zion from mean ole Chuck and Shaq)

I think the only guy being sick on the team being Zion is extremely coincidental. I think Zion being sick and again missing a nationally televised game is extremely coincidental. And I think Zion again being a no show in a big game for the team is not something you should be so quick to brush off as nothing.

But again, I hope he proves me wrong.

These are NBA players that constantly travel, so its fairly common for them to get sick. I think its crazy, that you think Zion being a sick is some conspiracy not to play on TNT, rather than him just being sick. This is where the frustration of fan’s expectations of Zion lead to crazy nonsensical theories. Dude is just sick, it happens.

Out of curiosity, why do you think he was a no show for the Lakers game? Is it your opinion he just “had a bad game”?

Go back to the last 10 nationally televised games, I’m willing to bet a few $$ that 1 of either Zion or BI have been held out of at least 8 out those 10 for minor stuff that popped out of nowhere

Source he was out if shape?- my eyes but Willie has said himself Zion is still working himself in shape.

Source he partied in vegas night before- he asked why I thought that. It was my opinion so technically I dont need a source. Plus go see his interview right before the game the dude was hungover regardless it comes down to not being in shape.

This isn't like us normal folks and our normal jobs where we just call out and say we're sick, and our employers take our word for it.

If Zion says he has the flu, the team is going to be giving him round the clock care to try and get him fixed up. If he's faking, the team would know.

Some of you are pretending Zion just called out to Griff, is going to run down to the CVS Minute Clinic and grab a doctor's excuse to return to work in 2 days...What are we doing here, guys

So to be clear on things, you believe he would party prior to the biggest professional game of his career, but not that he would take an open chance to avoid national criticism?

I would go on to ask why you think he’s missed most every national game, the majority of his professional career thus far, why he showed up out of shape to start his career, out of shape to start this season, why he had his mom as his nutritionist, left the team to go to Oregon, impregnated an instagram (insert favorite word), chose not to follow his rehab, required a team meeting to start the season, and has guys like Jose stating the team told him what he needed to hear?

All I am saying is, when it comes to Zion, it is generally not coincidental. You should not just, take things as they are presented. I hope he plays, but he has missed more matchups against Ja than he has played. He is coming off a public and national roasting. Everyone is sick right now. He’s just the only one I expect won’t play tonight.

No one said he had the flu that I know of, and we better hope not because he was with the team and practicing yesterday.

You skipped right over the main premise of my post to focus on one part that is largely irrelevant.

Whether it's flu or just sick, my point still stands, nothing changes.

So again, you think he's calling out sick just like you or I would?
