Because there sadly isn’t an IQ requirement to post on this board. So people like him and Galactic Queer can type their little hearts out about how big man Zion bad.

You have Zion over Chris Paul. Do you know how crazy that is?
They both have played for New Orleans 6 seasons. Paul brought us to the playoffs 3 times and played in 23 playoff games. He was rookie of the year, 4x all-star, 3x all pro, top 5 in MVP twice, led the league in assists and steals twice. All that while missing maybe a 3rd of how many games Zion has missed. But you think Zion is more accomplished?

You're projecting.

I never said Zion has accomplished more or has more accolades. I said he’s the best player in the franchise’s history. Now, admittedly I am on the younger side and didn’t realize Pistol Pete played for New Orleans, I thought he played for Utah the whole time. So I will move Zion down to #2 of best player to ever play for the franchise, behind Pistol.

And you'd still be wrong.

Yeah idk if Pistol belongs to the Jazz franchise. Way beyond my time. But pound for pound Zion is the best player to ever play for the Pelicans. That is a fact.

Based on what?

You should be embarrassed, but obviously you’re not smart enough to be.

I’ve got Rondo in there due to his importance to that playoff year. Being a leader. Seemingly making Jrue and AD smarter and more dangerous players. It’s probably a bit biased in that manner.
West probably should be over Jrue based on Pels/Horns success alone. It was a tough list after the top 4. Kind of similarly tiered players that I just ranked based on how much I liked them. Jrue got an extra nod based on likability, winning a ship on 2 teams, and team USA success.
Someone else questioned Jonas over Z a few posts later and essentially I have him over Z bc he played more games than Z in 3 years than Z has played in 6. He’s also played in all of our play in and playoff games, so I valued that over regular season stats. Jonas was a rock for us for 3 years and helped us withstand many Z and Bi injuries and still win games.

Truck Robinson was an absolute force and all star for the Nola Jazz. Dude put up 24 and 16 and finished 8th in MVP voting. The next year, he was putting up similar stats and then got traded to the Suns.
It was tough to figure out where to rank him. Dude was great, but only played 1.5 years here. But in 1.5 years, he played 65% of the games and 80% of the mins Z played in 6 years, so he got a respect top 10 nod for being dominant and available while here.

In fairness, what here is he doing right?

If tweet fails to load, click here. The question is, even if he does get his act together will he still be injury prone?
Posted on 2/23/25 at 11:15 pm to TigerinATL
Unfortunately half of the injuries are linked to game style, so it will always be a dice roll
Even when he can avoid lower body injuries, he still runs the risk of tearing his thumb ligaments (year 2), due to getting hacked during his 17 rim runs a game.
This version of Z is great, but it would be more believable that we could build around it if he was at 65 games a year at this point vs 35.
Like Morant has his share of injuries and his dumb gun shite, but we have still seen enough of him in the regular season and playoffs to know he can potentially be the best player on a title team.

Zion was great again tonight. He is a joy to watch.

Yeah I’m not trading Zion. He’s must watch tv when he plays. Hes doesn’t flop or whine like a bitch, so it’s easier to root for him. Everything recently about how he’s been training harder than before is a positive sign.

He’s the most fun player to watch in the league. Don’t think there’s a close 2nd.
