I guess we’ll see. I do think they’ll be more competitive than last time they played wolves. Again 12 games in, not the end of the world.

Im assuming you start Hawkins tonight right? Or do you go all defense and go with Naji in starting lineup?

With the team saying he won’t miss every B2B I’m wondering if its more about 3 games in 4 nights than the B2B that’s factoring into their decisions.

Also, Jose being out sucks, he’s been saying he was coming back tonight, he’s gotta be pissed.

Skipping games to rest = not playing a full season. He's already out of the running.

Zion is out of shape so our solution is….give him time off. Gross.

ETA: doubt this is Big Z’s choice btw

Either has merit. I like the potential scoring Hawk can bring off the bench; we’ll likely really need that.

Yup, they’re starting Hawkins. Naji will bring his energy off the bench.

Willie Green on decision to rest Zion: "Sometimes after those games and a tough game like that, he can have some bumps and bruises. We decided to hold him out tonight.”

Green added, “This was based on communication from him.”

JR at least tried a couple of years. This guy barely even shows up. Guess $200 M does not buy what it used to.

May be a minor point but is Z even on the bench tonight? I don’t see him…

Remember when he split town for the 2nd half of the season and ghosted the team? Then we trade for CJ to get him on the phone.
The guy looks like he is nothing short of a mental head case

Kind of ridiculous to sit out for home games. At least play home games I front of your fans.

He played the night before and every other home game.

He didn’t play the pistons either.

This loss is on Zion being out of shape. Jonas is 31, 7ft tall and out there dogging it up and down the court every game this season.

It’s sad. Hopefully this loss doesn’t matter at end of year. But we are 6-7 so it probably will.

We’re 6-7, its a 82 game season. You guys really got to stop treating the NBA season like the NFL season.

You think that is what is happening here?

The pelicans finished 2 games south of the 5 seed last year.

The pelicans made the play-in game by 2 games the year before.

Games matter. Nothing about the pelicans says we can give away games and be fine.

Zion being a healthy scratch because of his inability to manage his weight and costing the pelicans games matters.

Zion will get hurt this season. Squeeze everything you can from him whenever he is healthy.

Thats exactly what’s happening. We’re 13 games in and you’re panicking about the playoffs. Its marathon not a sprint. If anything last year should have shown you that. The shite lakers were playing horrible same time last year and made it to west finals. The heat went to play-in to nba finals. Its dumb to worry about that stuff right now.
