Thanks Bunchie

Funny story... I'm not terribly religious but my Mom is/was. Priest was in the room I think on Sunday and asked to say a prayer, which is fine. He's doing a whole spiel and one part he says something along the lines of her going up and when she meets "God and Zion."

I immediately thought my Mom is an old lady from south Louisiana and can cook a mean gumbo. Please keep her far away from Zion!!!

So yea, that's what's going through my head while the priest is praying over my dying Mother

Except I didn’t do that lol

Zion ignoring the base issue of him having a shite diet and not worrying about keeping himself in shape, and instead chalking it all up to “Zion just gotta stretch more lol zion gonna be Zion lol” because he heard that lebron stretches is the problem. He’s clueless.

He hired a personal chef last year. Do you know he has a shite diet? Do you know more than his personal chef?

Well he basically admitted to his shitty diet. Then he basically downplayed the need to lose weight. Now he wants to focus on stretching and flexibility.

Well something isn’t adding up then.

I said he’s minimizing diet/healthy weight so he can focus on stretching. If you can’t see the problem with that, then I don’t know how to help you.

Yeah one is a fact, the other is an assumption by someone looking for a negative view. You are assuming he had a shite diet last year. He never said that. He did say when he was younger, he had an invincibility complex.

You forgot this part if it

downplayed the need to lose weight

Yes stretching isn’t bad. But it’s not effective when you’re doing that as a REPLACEMENT to losing weight and diet issues.

Or that some like to bitch about everything and will twist things to meet their agenda. You would like they could not be that dumb.

I’ll believe Zion when I see it or hear about what he’s doing more. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. He’s talked up his work ethic and desire to win his entire career here but wouldn’t do the little things. Talk is cheap

Did he downplay the need to lose weight and diet better?

It’s amazing that some here have their heads so far up their asses that they refuse to acknowledge this.

“Well THIS year will finally be different!”

He literally did those little things last offseason, maintaining is the issue

There's two sides of the fence when comes to Zion. Those who are already done with him and those who are going to give it another season.

I don't necessarily think either side are wrong to feel the way they feel about him.

He certainly has a lot of questions to answer and this will be an important season for him from the fan's perspective.

I was going to say, I feel like I’m in the twilight zone reading some of these threads sometimes. Is anyone really debating the fact that Zion lost a ton of weight last year and came in in great shape? And then he went out and dominated on the court.

Unfortunately, he pulled his hamstring, and then reinjured it. An injury rumored to be the demise of the bubble season as well. He obviously would be smart to really focus on his stretching and flexibility as opposed to muscle gain(lifting weights).

You can argue that Zion didn’t use to have the best eating habits(he’s said as much), and I think you can argue about his possible work ethic throughout the season, rehab efforts or lack thereof. But I don’t see how anyone can argue Zion didn’t put the time, work and effort in last offseason. His diet was obviously working, and is obviously working. But there’s more he needs to do and it appears he’s at least trying.

Plenty of athletes have followed similar roads, including Steph Curry and Alvin Kamara and all of their ankle routines. Hammy’s are a B and Zion needs to do everything he can to not let it hamper the rest of his career.

bullshite. Zion said that for the PR, but Lebron will be rolling his eyes when he sees that nonsense.

Zion finally started stretching in year 5. Lebron has been meticulous about his body for his entire career.
