I ran across this video earlier today and really enjoyed it, figured y’all would as well. Really shows what a problem Zion is for opponents.

This was a 5 game stretch from February 1st to 9th. He averaged 22 pts, 6 rbs, 5 asts, 1 stl, and 2 blks on 64% shooting in 30 minutes a night. Impressive

This was from a Pelicans Suns game last year

Look at the how open our shooters are when Zion when has the ball

Zion finished that game 12-14 (1-1 from 3/3-4 from FT) and a +37.

What really jumps out at you is his body control in the air around the rim.

which is why the entire team has been built around him as best it can with him not playing. When you acknowledge that this team, without him, can and should be .500, the decision on his part to get his shite together should be self evident.

which is also why (in my opinion) that you use the leverage that you have to force zion to bust loose of his “team” and get on board the bus. He is literally in a no-lose situation as far as conditioning/diet/game skills go...he doesn’t even need to get any better as a player. He just has to be able to play

It’s crazy that he played so well with Adams and Bledsoe, with Stan as the coach.

Imagine next year with CJ, BI who has improved as a facilitator, Jonas who the opposing defense actually has to guard, and Willie who has some real creativity. If we stay healthy we will have one of the best offenses in the league.
