Collins definitely needs a change of scenery, but i just don't see the point in taking a chance on him b/c i don't think he's any good. I get that he still has potential, i'm just not interested in him.
We saw him in his first two years in the playoffs and while yes he was young and all, he didn't look good at all, and didn't play much, or do well when he did.
as NOFOX said, he doesn't rebound well, doesn't defend well, and hasn't proven he can shoot, so what's the point? We have Wenyen, who i think probably has more potential at that same position and same age b/c we know he can shoot, and he probably can end up being a better defender.

No, Collins is 6'11", 250 lbs, and Wenyen is 6'9", 205 lbs.
Wenyen is a SF-PF tweener.
I know that Portland played Collins a lot at PF with Nurkic at C, but I think that Collins is really a small-ball center, and I'd be bringing him here to compete for minutes there.
From what I can see when I compare his minutes at C and PF on Cleaning the Glass, it seems to me that Collins was indeed a poor defender at PF, but that he was above average at C.

Doesn't seem very small to me

Yep, meant in terms of how they function on the court. Collins is more stout with better rim protection.

Further compounds the lower extremity issues. I’m not sure he even plays next season after this latest setback

Yeah, the guy just never plays.
If its a last ditch effort and he is super cheap and short term then maybe I guess.
But it doesn't seem worth it.
