No one really should be surprised by any of this. Hes been making similar comments before the season started. It does suck as a small market fan though.

I imagine Rich Paul is going over ways AD could supplement the money he’d lose passing on the supermax if he’s playing with the Lakers.

I think their plan A is to trade for AD this offseason with a package involving Brandon Ingram then sign another max guy to team with AD and Bron.

Everybody shite on me when I said I didn’t want AD around the team USA guys this summer, but look at what has happened since then. He’s signed with Rich Paul and he’s becoming more and more vocal about possibly leaving New Orleans. There was never a hint of that possibility in any of his previous interviews until this summer after he hung around the Team USA guys which are full of guys that like to form Big 3’s, force trades, etc. The entire star base of the NBA has pretty much been poisoned in the past few years. Nobody has any loyalty and nobody wants to earn anything anymore. They all just want jump ship from small markets to band together and ride each other’s coattails to easy championships so they can have more time and energy for their off court endeavors. There are absolutely no individual thinkers in the nba nowadays. They all just pattern their careers after LeBron, Durant, Chris Paul, etc. Jumping ship just because it’s not easy. If AD truly has this mentality, I’m fine with trading him now for a young, hungry alpha Jayson Tatum.

“I have to be made of tempered glass instead of regular glass if we want to win.”
-AD

I kid. The quote in context in the article is not bad at all.

Yeah...& you’re still wrong.

Reporters are looking for clickbait quotes.

AD-as the young (25) hungry alpha of THIS team is telling his guys to step up & also in a bit of grandstanding reminding everyone that he’s the best player in the league.

When he plays.

Pels have a top 25 player in Jrue
A top 50 player in Niko
Maybe a top 75 player in Randle (or better)

Pels Top 7 guys this year are better than the Top 7 of last year that went on the tear.

If Demps can add just a little bit more. We’re golden.

Davis unlocks everything on the court for the Pels. Like Curry, Harden & LeBron. No shame in saying it.

Make no mistake about it, it’s on the organization to get him the cast & after a few bad years, we’re starting to get there.

It’s been 8 games.

I agree that we’ve built a nice squad around AD, yet it’s still pertinent that he plays to unlock the full potential of the guys. Where there is smoke there is fire though. I don’t think he resigns unless the Pels get in the WCF and that’s 100% dependent on his health, play and attitude. Seems like he’s letting his mind drift elsewhere recently and that’s not going to be good for his play, Pels chances of making a run, and the Pels being able to keep him. The time to trade him might be now. His value will never be higher since he hasn’t actually demanded a trade yet. NBA is almost too much of a players league. That’s great for them, but it’s not great for the organizations or the fans of small to mid size market teams. Trade someone like AD before they demand a trade, you get absolute full value for him instead of the usual 50 cents on the dollar trade for vocally disgruntled stars. An AD trade is probably a tough sell to casual, bandwagon fans, but if a great trade was made now, I think a lot of fans would respect the hell out of it and continue to support the franchise. In an ideal world, I’d love to have AD be what Dirk is for the Mavs, but that is the exception, not the norm. Dell is around AD and the team pretty much everyday. Hopefully he can decipher what’s real from AD and what’s just clickbait from the media.

Shouldve specified they would send the Sacto pick..

Minny does it because it gives them 2 more 1st rounders this year, one a lottery pick, and dont have to wait until 2025 for the picks to come to them...

And because they not that smart to begin with, they gave Wiggins a max deal for Christ's sake

AD can either emulate LeBron in Cleveland or be a little bitch like KD. Choice is his.

Uh Lebron set the template for KD to follow. He'd never have done that had the Big 3 not formed in Miami and Cleveland.
