Some interesting quotes about the supporting cast and his mindset, nothing earth shattering. Then there's the obligatory part about the "anonymous NBA executives" who want AD

Quote doesn't read nearly as bad as I thought it would once context is applied.

Still hate that these kinds of articles are everywhere. fricking big market shills.

Not even true. Guy didn’t make a jump shot or a free throw for 4 straight games and we started 4-0. He just needs to play hard defense and finish around the rim and typically the Pels win.

frick that out of context, clickbait article title. In fact, frick that whole article. Davis hasn't been perfect in any game yet this year.

Regardless of context, he is saying what any pending FA is saying. If we are a 7 or 8 seed, he is going to want to bolt.

A lot of that is up to him. If he plays 75 games, we will be fine and if he plays 40, it won’t be great.

He sounds more and more like a guy who understands he needs more superstars to win in today's league and that he won't be getting that in New Orleans.

frick the modern NBA and frick the big market bias

I thought the quote was ill-timed. This is a road trip against four of the toughest home teams in the West minus two starters. How many teams, even good teams, are going to roll into Denver or San Francisco and knock off the Nuggets and Warriors? Those games would have been tough at full strength. Saying he has to play "almost perfect every night" for the Pels to have a chance is just not true and seems a little self-serving to be honest. I think we'd take out most teams at home without Davis and average teams on the road. Beating good teams in their gym without AD? That is a problem. But it's a problem most of the league would have minus their star player and starting point guard.

We all know whats going to happen. The NBA is just fricking stupid. Small market teams have no chance of winning.

Also Im slowly starting to dislike AD more and more. Coming of a 1st round sweep and in the middle of maybe the best Pelicans season since hes been here and hes still saying shite like this. Guess I cant blame him, but man. What happened to rookie AD.

We co need AF to step up and carry this team, even though I think his supporting cast ain’t bad, compared to other NOLA teams I’ve watched.

This just isn't true. He just has to PLAY and we have a shot in every game.

He was 4/7 from 3 in the first 4 games and had 29 points from
The FT line...

This was always going to happen..

They kept pushing the "this is your team. you're a star. everyone goes as you go" mantra on him

His midrange game has disappeared and he shot about 65% from the FT line. Obviously I was exaggerating, but people know what I am saying. AD hasnt come close to playing his A offensive game in a single game this season.

Doesn't help that LeBrons boys are constantly in his ear telling him he needs to move to a bigger market

He needs to get on the floor. If AD ever wants to be an MVP candidate then he needs to carry a team. Look at the supporting cast LeBron had in Cleveland. AD can either emulate LeBron in Cleveland or be a little bitch like KD. Choice is his.

I getting past the point of caring anymore. This will he or wont he bullshite is getting old.

I realize its alot of the outsiders that are doing it but he's not going out of his way to put an end to it. Just getting tired of this league

In the games AD has played, he has actually struggled honestly. He hasn’t gotten his jumper going at all and we still won. Just think when he gets it going. The dude just needs to play to be able to do that
