you would lose Ingram after this year, cant resign him, might as well trade him for pics as well at that point
you cant trade for Beal(cant afford to resign him either)
and you destroy most of the flexibility you created for yourself by trading AD
all this just to take a chance to straddle yourself with pics that Houston would now have the chance to ruin by being able to attract players with that max contract spot they created by dumping Paul next off season + additional cap from losing Hill
this would be a gift wrap to end all gift wraps and it would be for a division rival that is completely fricked right now.

I wouldnt do this if I was the Rockets. Chris Paul can still ball, he just needs to get away from Harden. Ovviously injuries are an issue, but thats too much to give up.
