-he may not even get the MLE from anyone, let alone 12-15 mill, according to Woj.

He turned down 2/40 from us to play chess not checkers.

This same reasoning is why I don’t blame the Knicks for not wanting to give Durant the max. If anything, lack of explosiveness would seem to affect KD more than Boogie bc at least Boogie could still rely on his strength.

Hopefully the lakers whiff on Kawhi, and they throw 8-10 at Boogie.

What??? No way.

Boogie completed depended on his explosiveness. He showed this past season he wasn’t the same player without it. It’s why he has no market

Kevin Durant is 6’10 with a deadly shot. Who tf is blocking that?

Durant will lose some explosiveness but that isn’t what made him such a special player. There are way better athletes in the NBA than Durant

Yeah, I think even in a worst-case scenario(aside from one where Durant never gets healthy again) Durant would still be capable of being a Nola level Peja Stojakovic with better passing, but in a league where instead of taking 15 shots a game and only 5-6 from three. He can take 16-18 shots a game and 60% can be from three with similar efficiency.

And that is still a 23-5-4 player.

I kinda liked the guy when he was here.

But yeah, he had quite the combination of bad decisions and bad luck.

It was almost certainly his decision not the agent. His agent was probably pulling his hair out.

The guy is an emotional basket case.

Yeah, it's not worth dealing with the pile-ons, but in hindsight, I don't really hold much of a grudge against Cousins. It's not like he trashed the city on the way out.

It seems clear by the end of the season Davis let it be known he was gonna force his way out. Cousins even let it go in a random interview last season that a lot of people knew it was coming by the end of the playoffs. Which goes to show how self-absorbed he is.

Which also clarifies why Rondo was ready to jump ship. Combine that with Demps now notoriously poor player relations and you can see why Cousins was willing to roll the dice. And frankly, even on that contract, we should be glad he didn't take it.

Boogie looked like a monster at times last season. So this isnt a situation where he doesnt have anything left in the tank. Most would assume after another year of recovery and actual basketball training this offseason hr could make more strides.

There is no market because hes the biggest jackass in the NBA. He would already have offers without this.

What Darryljames said. Boogie was obviously in AD’s ear. Then our Pellies team broke apart.

Boogie joins GSW. They break apart.

Boogie has proven to be a malcontent and team cancer. No one wants that on their squad. We especially dont, he’ll poison our young guys.

I think one of his biggest problems going forward is(I think) a correct perception from most FO's that what is best for Cousins to thrive is not necessarily what is best for a team to thrive. And Cousins still isn't at a place where he can sacrifice his ego enough to reconcile and adjust his game to align with that.

It's a similar problem Evans ran into before he humbled himself to a bench role(before he got himself booted from the league lol).

Even in GS he still wanted to brute force himself into that point center role that just totally tanks efficiency and leads to ungodly turnover rates(worse post injury). For Cousins to thrive on a good team he is going to have to reign in and better control that fantasy(along with a few others).

Boogie, LeBron, Rich Paul, etc in ADs ear. Does this narrative make it easier to accept that he wanted out? Stop putting AD's decision on other people, HE WANTED OUT.

He looked good at times offensively, but he was a complete liability on defense. I kept saying it in the Finals, but Kerr just to put it plainly should have never let him get minutes.
