The more I think about this the more I’m for the first time a bit discouraged.
It certainly seems that Kyrie to Nets is a lock and they certainly think so. If Ainge thinks so as well...
This takes not 1 but 2 major player out on AD.

Well, in 77 possessions against him in the first 3 games he held him to 9-22 shooting...

I guess I'm okay, because I'm good with the Lakers deal, so I feel like there is always that on the table. Regardless of what is said, I don't think that's getting worse than Ingram, Ball, and 4.

Yeah but if everyone drops out the Lakers deal evaporates. Just like that insufferable lot believes.
I don’t think that will be the case but I’m concerned.

I think it takes out the Celtics but the Knicks are even more in play now. They’re even more desperate to get a star. Acquiring AD soon can give them a case for other big players to come play for them. You can even flip Kyrie back to the knicks if he knows they have AD on the squad. Continuing the tank for the knicks will make them irrelevant for at least another 5 years. Building an attractive site for these All star quality players now can give them time to continue to sell their case to guys like Kyrie or KD before Free agency starts

I think the Knicks are in, because they'll probably strike out elsewhere, and I haven't seen anything about the Clippers lately. Not to mention there are deals out there that we have no idea about.

I honestly don't think Boston being a player matters as much as the Knicks like you said. It'll end up being a bidding war between LA Lakers and NY Knicks. They both desperately need a star asset for one reason or another, they'll give up everything IMHO
They don't have to sign Kyrie, they could very well trade for AD and go for the B level star (i.e. Butler) with hope of KD coming along.

Unless the Knicks give us a ridiculous amount of picks Nets/Garnett style...I kind of favor the Lakers.
Without Zion I definitely preferred the Knicks because of the draft capital. But there players are dogshit outside of Mitch. The Lakers players definitely have more potential.

We could always trade him to a Denver and tell AD to go eff himself

According to some guy at The Athletic, Atlanta is now making their move to try to get AD
Posted on 6/6/19 at 7:54 pm to Macintosh
There’s been quite a bit of speculation here on that. I still don’t see it. They need to trade all those picks for something we desire more.

Boston and Nets May drop out, but that probably still leaves 10-12 other teams on the table. It only takes one desperate/confident/sexy GM to decide he wants to go all in on AD because he sees what happened in the Kawhi and/or Paul George scenario and they are confident enough in their abilities to replicate it. I still really think AD is going to be traded to a team out of left field. That seems to happen 95% of the time in these superstar trades.

Agreed. I don't see the Pelicans interested in the middling picks Atlanta has amassed.

ATL deal gets my blood flowing
Posted on 6/6/19 at 7:59 pm to Chad504boy
I don’t understand why. No top end talent that they’ll trade us. A bunch of mid lotto and mid draft picks all in the same draft.

I like John Collins. I think we can get some real talent w 8 and 10 picks.

Maybe they just amassed the Brooklyn picks so they can trade future picks in consecutive years??
Something like Collins, Crabbe or Baze, 8 and 10, 20 1st, and 21 1st
They have plenty they can offer, and take on Hill
