I think AGM is ideal. Additionally he adds to a cultural identity this team needs

Because he has zero experience and has to negotiate with Danny Ainge.

i bet the warriors are pretty happy they hired a former player as head coach with no experience in Steve Kerr

I hear people say this all the time. If the grain of salt is huge that would make it less palatable and harder to digest, not easier. It completely voids the purpose of the saying.

Isn't that kind of the point of the saying? Don't just digest what he's stating as fact. Actually look into it and see why he's saying it.

David West is reportedly very intelligent. But you don't jump from playing to GMing. And when he left didn't it become known that his wife was happy to leave NOLA?

I bet they are even happier they hired Jerry West to put that team together and hire Steve Kerr.

I don’t mind giving him an office job that lets him build skills but I hope no one is suggesting we roll the dice on D West as GM.

West brought in a young Myers and promoted him. West identified the talent (Klay, Draymond) and was a force in bringing in KD. He also opposed Lacob on the Love-Klay swap which Myers could not have done alone. Myers gets credit, but there is no chance Myers gets anywhere without the Logo.

I’m sure, most NBA families don’t want to be here. It’s just not appealing. Fans get upset about it, but it’s true.
That being said, if West can get in anywhere, this is a good as bet as any.
