So Ben Simmons

Of course this place would never been intellectually honest about the pick. They should have went AJ Griffin. He will end up being better.

I don't trust foreign guards coming out the Australian leagues. Really almost all foreign leagues with exceptions. Its a coin flip whether they adjust to the speed and scheme complexity of the NBA. Just whatever though...
For every Luka Doncic, you get 30 Dante Exums. Enjoy though.

Yeah man agreed. One didn’t just win rookie of the year recently.

So you want the guy who may have fricked up knees and doesn't play defense

Yeah, Lamelo Ball, domestic player who played professional foreign leagues since he was 14. Great example.

This is not your board. Go to the MsB. Stop fricking up this thread.

Just say you don't know anything about the draft this year. Griffin is still on the board, no one competent had him that high.

This logic is non-existent. You can say the same about the endless American players that go on to do nothing.

I'm going to go back to the MSB, but you know, its not bad to have your own opinion.
AJ Griffin is a great high character player who will bring value as a spot up shooter. He also works and has potential on defense.
8-15 in this draft are all about the same quality of talent. I just think AJ has a lot of potential. Whatever.

I like AJ as well and think he won’t be the 12th or worst player in this draft, but you also came in hot on Daniels, who is basically an adjustment and repetition to his shot away from being a Brogdon/Halliburton/Lonzo level player in this league, and if not, has Thybuille like defensive upside.
The floor is Exum, but that is the floor. And part, maybe a large part of Exum’s issues, were health.

CBS grade A+
8. New Orleans Pelicans (from Lakers): SG Dyson Daniels, G League
Daniels isn't quite the prospect previous Ignite stars have been but is still a fascinating guard with size who can play with or without the ball. His jumper, at this point, is the biggest area of concern, but if the Pelicans can get that falling, he has a high ceiling. And this Pelicans team is very close to being a legitimate contender -- though a lot of that falls on Zion Williamson. Daniels fits really nicely into that core as arguably the best perimeter defender in this draft. Grade: A+

Maybe my memory is fuzzy, but I thought the pre draft book on Exum was good size, great athleticism, but not very skilled.
Daniels doesn’t have Exum’s speed or verticality, but he has better size and seemingly better feel for the game.

Exum never got the chance to develop. Dude had like 3 or 4 knee injuries before playing 50 games
