You seem really upset about me replying to a guy that wasn't you. Didn't know it cut that deep, maybe you're the one who needs to find a safe space? Idk, having a hard time trying to figure out what makes you put your cape on for cheesy over here but it seems to be over the capitol stuff...

Really don’t want Vaughn. But the last time Langdon was really connected with a coach was with Atkinson. We saw how that turned out before they went the superstar route. If they can do that again here, that be awesome.

The bootlicking comment had absolutely nothing to do with politics. I could honestly not care less about you, Shamit, or anyone else’s politics on this board. Do not speak for me or my intentions.

The bootlicking comment was made because most of the pels Twitter beat writers suck off the front office continuously. It’s basically an echo chamber. Some objectivity would be nice instead of instantly trying to instantly pump up any piece of news that comes out.

Calling someone a boot licker doesn’t always have to be about or reference someone’s political beliefs. That’s not how I personally took it. We are talking about the pelicans head coach search, how the front office is going about it, and how Pels twitter is reacting to and/or spinning the news that is leaked. There was nothing political being discussed. I guess everyone reads into things differently based on their own experiences in life. I’ll be sure to work on my sociological imagination when reading and responding to posts on Pels talk from now on.

LTK had a nice opp to put egg on the guy’s face if he truly wanted to, but instead he went out of his way (sorry if I’m assuming your pronouns for you) to reference an event from 6 months ago.

Just thought it was odd and I am using my right to free speech to express that thought.

LTK- I enjoy reading your basketball takes. Not everyone has to agree with everyone all the time about everything though. And this is the internet, people inevitably call one another names. It shouldn’t adversely impact anyone’s day tbh. I just thought your response was politicizing something that wasn’t in the context of the actual conversation at hand. That’s all. I really don’t give a flying frick about Cheesy Beaver. In general I like my fellow Pels fans no matter what their other non basketball beliefs are.

You're absolutely right my dude. I fricked up two days ago when I reached out people who worked with Vaughn in an effort share what people felt about him. What I should have done was pull up the basketball reference page and tweet the win loss stats and we'd all be better for it. It would be totally original information that no one ever talks about.

Have you reached out to people who worked with Lee or Billups? If so, how do the responses compare?

Can’t say I agree with that in any way.

TBW podcast is almost always featuring multiple people that are pretty critical of numerous facets of the organization. It’s a pretty diverse range of opinions tbh.

Not to mention this board in general seems to want it both ways: whine when the media doesn’t ask PR friendly questions to Zion and other players, implying they should basically be working on behalf of the organization help keep him and foster a certain image, whine about beat writers/reporters being too nice to the FO. Frankly, both can’t really exist and be true.

I have.

Lee- the responses are stellar all around. The question with him is will he be able to have the tough conversations because he's viewed as easy going. He's still my favorite of the group.

Billups - was told his rape case had a impact in Boston's process since it happened in the city of Boston and that's the hold up with Portland's ownership.

As a coach it's unclear what his strengths are beyond commanding respect, but he's going to come with some top tier former HC assistants.

Just curious and I’m not sure if you shared it in a podcast or article I missed but what have you heard about Vaughn? He’s not my first choice but I do think he’s going to be a good coach. Hopefully, he learned from his first job in Orlando.

Here is a thread

And here is an article from a Nets writer talking about his adjustments in the bubble and how he's different from Atkinson

Damn bro, don't you got something better to do, like storm the capitol or something?

Don’t you have something better to do like retweet “defund the police” from the murder capital of the world?

Now that we got that out of the way, i actually enjoyed the Greenroom pod from the other day. Your take on things seemed pointed, but not as frantic as a lot of people.
