For sure JV has played better in his minutes than Nance. The point is extended Val minutes and its impact on the team. Val does not switch which is a tenant of Coach Green's identity for the team. Val and the team are forced, due to his slow feet and hands, to play drop coverage or zone. You can argue about the effectiveness of switching v drop coverage for sure, but for this team, the results have been better switching.

They play drop coverage with Larry as well and the team isn’t any better defensively. I’m not saying JV can’t be a liability on defense, I’m saying Nance isnt better on this end. And if thats the case why are we allocating a bunch of minutes to Nance.

Nance does play drop, but for the majority of his minutes the team switches. Funny you mention that because I did see Val attempt to switch on the perimeter yesterday.

I get CJ was hot.
CJ constantly plays hero ball. Willie will not say anything to him. Maybe Griff is coaching from upstairs through Willie, so he (Griff) doesn't look foolish for giving CJ a lot of money.
