This series is going to have some great matchups, but I have a feeling that we've got to get some big games from one or two of Clark/Mirotic/Moore/Miller to win a road game.

I also hope Jrue completely shuts Dame down because that man doesn't get enough credit.

Jrue is definitely getting some love on the national scene.

Disclaimer: I was not a huge proponent of re-signing Jrue, but understood why we had to make that move. Hated the contract, though. With that said, he has earned every penny this year. Great job, Jrue.

Warriors star Stephen Curry (sprained MCL) is targeting expected return at some point in the Western Conference semifinals, league sources told Yahoo. Curry has three-week evaluation on Saturday.

That means if the Pels advance they could still get a game or more of the Warriors without Curry.

nylon calculus series preview

quote:

The upset potential for this series is quite high. The Blazers have struggle mightily of late, limping into the playoffs with a 1-4 record in their last 5. Meanwhile, the Pelicans come in on a 5 game winning streak including impressive wins over the Spurs and Warriors. The Blazers are considered small favorites in the series, winning in 55 percent of simulations. Neither team has a clear edge for sweeping the series, although the Blazers have a 17 percent chance to win in 5 games. The most likely outcome is the Blazers winning in 7 games, which occurred in 19 percent of simulations, but the Pelicans have a very good chance of stealing the series in 6 games (18 percent) or pushing it to 7 and stealing one on the road (13 percent). This will absolutely be one of the best first round series in the Western Conference.

No need. With all the flapping around here lately it's already plenty sticky.
