Queen is light years better, and that’s not a knock against Fears
You can just feel it with Queen. You feel like you are watching something special. Never felt that way about any hornets/pelicans player before

Queen for both. Just a giant mismatch who will only get better and has the type of game that can allow him to play for 10+ years. And great attitude. Both have great personalities that winners have.

I think I’m a redraft Queen goes number two.
No way edgecomb, Harper or kon go before him imo
Remember the Ace Bailey talk lol

are we coming around to the fact now that Dumars felt so strongly about Queen that he view the trade as if we were getting one year ahead on our first?
It's still retarded
Queen being good just removes the potential for it turning into one of the biggest trade disasters ever
All he has to do was include normal protection
Also, next year's draft is STACKED

Exactly it’s a dumb trade that hopefully worked out. It’s looking less absurd but it’s still bad. If you loved queen that much to give up next years pick and also the Indy pick then just draft him at 7. It is what it is and I love watching both of these guys play.

It is currently not a bad trade. Its closer to a great trade if Pels/ Queen keep pace. The correct word is risk. It was a dumb risk, it is not currently a dumb trade. I hope y'all can learn the difference between the two and stop calling the trade itself dumb when he have a potential top 3 player who is pacing Cooper Flagg. Would y'all be upset if we traded for #1/ Flagg? We drafted #7/ #13 and currently have #4/#6 at worst from what is seems. If you can't take that as just a flat out win after what we've been through as Pels fans then I don't know what could bring positive spirits.
If 1 bird in your hand is better than 2 in a bush then how good is 2 in your hand? Why do we care about the 2 in the bush, F those picks. Our #7 actually ending up top 7 is a miracle in itself. AND Queen??
Merry Christmas!

Thank you.
We've lived in the Davis/rivers and Williamson/hayes/naw draft eras
This is the first year we've hit on both lottery picks. This year's class is really rivaling that 2019 draft. There's a handful of guys who can be franchise altering irbthey keep progressing.

I don’t see how you don’t call Queen the 2nd best player in a redraft already.

Because knueppel has been downright absurd shooting. While guys like him usually are atrocious defensively, he hasn't been bad.
Edgecombe is also shooting well and his overall game has impressed.
Need and position also matters, I'm not sure queen can grow into that role unless embiid is out the picture. Knueppel fits excellently next to wemby.

We don't judge trades themselves based on risk at the time of execution?

Sometimes bad decisions work out
It doesn't affect the judgment of the decision in real time.

Because 2nd best player and 2nd best player in a redraft is slightly different. Even if Queen is playing elite then so is Flagg/ Kon who were drafted 10+ spots higher. Realistically its hard to put Queen above them both while they are playing at such a high level. You'd have to convince those teams they are getting a better option while the option they chose is working perfectly.
Queen is the 2nd best player in the draft IMO. But in a redraft it may be hard to persuade teams who need a specific trait like scoring to take Queen when they are getting the production value they drafted at 3-4.
Like Htran said, its about the need. Queen is #2 but is he a better fit for some teams than Kon/ VJ? I have absolutely no clue if SA would choose Kon or Queen. CHA definitely takes whichever one is left > VJ.
