- Zion

quote:

Zion was highly complimentary of rookie guard Kira Lewis Jr. “I don’t even think y’all have seen his true potential. When we’re practicing, Kira is unbelievable.”

SVG has said a more reigned in version of that a few times now.

I think it’s just simply he and Griff believe if you have the ability it’s better to focus on getting the off the court habits and prep in order before getting into the fire of actual games. And the covid season has probably made that more difficult as Griff has alluded.

To an extent I get and agree, though I think they might have been a bit too conservative.

I think it’s pretty clear though at this point from all the signals and recent adjustments his minutes are only going to go up from here.

He might do it, depending on a few factors.

i think so too. We are at that point in the season where he's had enough time in games and practice that he needs to start getting some serious run in meaningful games. There shoudl'nt be games from here on out were he's a DNP coaches decision.

Seeing how Fox has killed us twice so far, it doesn't surprise me that Kira is killing our first team in practice

You're probably right, because they say the same things about NAW's practices.

quote:

“It was like watching him in practice every single day,” Ingram said. “Just him flowing, not thinking, just him being himself. It was good to see it trickle over to the game today and him having a good outing.”

I think everyone besides SVG can see Kira Lewis potential and how much of a difference he makes compared to Zo/Bledsoe. But he’s not going to play a lot of minutes until SVG is fired or they’re short of guards on the roster.
