What would be the realistic price if the Cavs decided to trade Garland or Allen?

Dejounte or CJ would most likely have to be in any deal for salaries but maybe
Pels get: Garland, 2027 2nd

Cavs get: Dejounte, Hawkins, #7 and Indy’s 1st next year

A Jarrett Allen deal would be less costly salary-wise but you’d most likely need to send Missi back plus Hawkins for salary purposes and a couple 1st.

They’re looking to win now. Dejounte isn’t playing for half a year and idk if they want a shitty young player and picks. Unless there’s something about their cap situation I’m not aware about

They don’t want the 7th pick and players who won’t help them next year.

They would want Herb or Trey and we should say no to that.

It's very clear they need to move on from one of Allen or Mobley.

They need someone else who can actually be a threat, I get they were injured as well but indy suffocated garland and Mitchell. Nobody else played well.

It's actually why a healthy Ingram made sense for them. Max strus ain't scaring anyone.

I don’t think we should be trying to make win now moves at this point. This is not our window to win. We need to pray that Z gets clear and becomes tradeable, not add pieces around Z, which he will waste due to a variety of injuries and his unserious lifestyle that does not prioritize basketball.

They need to move Garland who clashes with Mitchell. Allen's contract isn't really that bad. Mobley isn't going anywhere. He's a budding star.

They have a horrible cap sheet that is way too top heavy. They are going to pay Hunter, Strus, and Okoro a combined $50. Maybe one of them starts for them. I'd try to fleece the Lakers for whatever they have left. Offer them Garland and Allen for a ton of players/picks built around Reaves and Knecht (who will thrive playing off Mitchell). They lost in the playoffs due to injury and lack of depth. They have to build it up. They are going to coast to a top 3 seed with or without Garland (who is fragile). Plus they need to shed about 30M to get under the 2nd apron. Lots of work to do..

Their numbers, even healthy, with Allen and Mobley on the floor simultaneously is absolute trash.

Garland can be improved upon, but having 2 bigs who can't coexist is equally as bad. I personally keep Mobley and try to move Allen first then garland.

Why is everyone so hell bent on keeping herb???

He’s a great complimentary piece to a contending team… we aren’t that. Get value!
