I lived in New Orleans from 2002 to 2004, and during that time, I attended the very first Hornets game in the city—October 30, 2002, against the Utah Jazz. Even though that era wasn’t the team’s peak, I went to countless games, and the 2002–03 squad was an absolute blast to watch. The highlight of it all? On January 22, 2003, I saw Michael Jordan play in person for the first time during his final season with the Wizards. That moment is etched in my memory forever.
That Hornets lineup was something special:
Baron Davis (Point Guard)
Jamaal Magloire (Center)
David Wesley (Shooting Guard)
George Lynch (Small Forward)
P.J. Brown (Power Forward)

I loved listening to and watching the Jazz with Pete Maravich and Truck Robinson. Unfortunately they didn’t win often but they were fun to watch.

1976 - 1977
Pistol Pete at his peak.
Also the first year of the Jazz when they played in Loyola Field House and the Municipal Auditorium.
I have some great memories of attending the Bucs games in the Field House.
I am a Pelicans fan, but we used to live and die with the Jazz.

That pick and roll where CP3 would toss it up to Chandler was damn near unstoppable
